The montage in 8-TRACK is one of the special moments in the video. In the early stages I was against having a montage in the video. Felt like I did not have a strong enough collection of footage to make something worth adding. A little later on in the process I talked to @tristan.mershon about it and he convinced me to have one because “it’s the most exciting part about the premiere”. And he was right. Shortly after that I was able to gather more footage for the montage then I thought I would ever have. I made a wish list and slowly started checking people off of it. Reaching out to anyone who has been apart of my previous projects and anyone else that I thought were dope. There’s was a lot of additions that I didn’t expect and a few that I was super excited to add in even though I haven’t seen those people in years. On the downside I had to make a few tough decisions and cut some good homies out. Those clips ended up in the bonus montage on the DVD.
But all in all I’m beyond happy on how the montage turned out and a huge key for me in editing it was trying to group everyone together as friends or the different cities they skate in. It might make sense to people close to us and others it may not. That is just a little subtle detail that makes me appreciate the montage and everyone in it even more.

Here are some of my favorites from the montage, it was super hard to pick only a handful so don’t come at me if you don’t see your clip here. Love you all and stoked on everyone being in this video.

Go peep the whole montage and entire video on YouTube at the link in my bio.
