Swipe ⬅️ EMPOWERED MOMS EVENT is a beautiful community created by my dear friend, Dr. Emily Jacobs.

Emily’s heart, vision, and leadership continue to inspire me. Emily has created something so special, a space where mothers are encouraged to remember that their dreams and voices matter, and there is still SO much life waiting for them to live and create!

The panels were phenomenal, the conversations were meaningful, and getting to reconnect with old friends while making beautiful new connections was so wonderful.

One of the most tender parts of today, was having so many women come up to me to share their love for On The Wings Of Angels, tell me how our work has touched their lives, and how deeply they believe in what we’re building.

Those moments mean more to me than I could ever adequately put into words. In fact, I cried on the way home from all the love that was shown to me today.

Thank you all for coming up to me!

Behind every one of those conversations is another reminder of how far love, compassion, and community can reach.

Sometimes we’re so busy doing the work that we don’t get to stop and see just how many hearts it’s touching.

Today gave me a little glimpse of that, and I am SO grateful.

Emily, I am so proud of you and the beautiful movement you’ve created. What a gift you are to us all.

Another table. Another room filled with remarkable women. Another reminder that His way is always better. 🤍

We gathered again to unapologetically talk business, mastermind through the places where we’re growing and stretching, share wisdom generously, and celebrate what God is calling forward in each of us.

And right in the middle of it all — we praised Him.

Because this sisterhood is about more than building successful businesses. It’s about building in alignment with Him, using our gifts well, and surrounding ourselves with women who will pray for us, challenge us, refer us, encourage us, and genuinely want to see us win.

Resistance, regression, clinginess, meltdown: all of those are not manipulation. They are nervous system signals. A child's stress response is primarily somatic before it becomes a behavior and that's something that I enjoy learning with my awesome somatic coach Mona. Something that I learned is to learn to read the body, not just the behavior.

There was something really powerful about the “You Are Not Crazy” mental health awareness event hosted by On The Wings of Angels at Chief Financial Credit Union.
The panelists were incredibly brave in sharing their stories and what stood out to me most was the reminder that abuse doesn’t always look the same. Mental. Physical. Verbal. Emotional. Financial. And the person causing the abuse isn’t always who people expect either. It can be a spouse, a family member, a partner, an employer, even a child. Abuse is abuse.
What keeps so many people trapped is the shame, the confusion, the excuses we make to survive it. And over time, if we don’t get help, it impacts our mental health in ways we may not even realize until we’re completely burned out.
One of the most beautiful parts of the event was watching people in the audience stand up and share their own stories while JoJo held space for them with so much compassion. When she puts her arm around you, you genuinely feel safe. Seen. Supported. That’s what she has created with On The Wings of Angels.
