1968 Holden Monaro GTS 327 Bathurst Coupe 🔥

Wet sanded from 1500-5000 grit to remove all orange peel all the way to the edge, per customer request. Dialled & polished engine bay as well as all jambs for that concourse level paint correction. 💎

Over 80 hours in this one 😤

CarPlusLovers presents Australian TV Commercial 2001, Holden ‘Monaro is back. Game Over’

The triumphant early 2000s return of Australia’s most iconic two-door muscle car, the Holden Monaro, was sparked by the overwhelming public reaction to the unexpected “Commodore Coupé” concept car unveiled at the 1998 Sydney Motor Show.

The V2 Monaro was so highly regarded within General Motors that it was re-engineered and exported to the United States. From late 2003 to 2006, roughly 40,000 Australian-built Monaros were shipped to America and sold as the reborn Pontiac GTO.

Monaro was manufactured by Holden until 2005, culminating in the highly collectible CV8-Z special edition.

V2 Series I (2001–2002): The relaunch featured a sleek, pillarless coupe design based on the VX Commodore platform. Buyers could choose between the supercharged CV6 (171kW V6 engine) or the massively popular CV8, packing a 5.7-litre Gen III LS1 V8 engine pushing out 225kW.

V2 Series II & III (2002–2004): Holden quickly dropped the slow-selling CV6 to focus exclusively on V8 performance. These updates brought an overhauled interior dashboard, twin tailpipes, new 5-spoke wheels, and power bumps up to 245kW.

VZ Series & CV8-Z (2004–2005): The final variation added modern aggression with distinct twin bonnet scoops. Power peaked at 260kW. The last batch of production was celebrated with the legendary CV8-Z model, finished in an exclusive “Fusion” orange paint job
