✨ Akemi Hair Loft Grand Opening ✨

I put so much hard work into coming back to Miami and building this place, and how blessed am I to look around the room and see family who raised me, friends I’ve laughed and cried with, and longtime clients who have been with me from the start standing right there with me to celebrate. 🥹

I’ve built such a strong community here in Miami that I’m so proud to be a part of. And I’m not only standing in my new salon loft — I’m standing in my classroom, my fulfillment center, my content space, and my home away from home. I can’t wait to see what kinds of memories, opportunities, and impact will be created from this space. ✨

As a Jamaican, it was VERY important to me to have Jamaica represented at my grand opening, and @mangrove.miami did absolutely amazing with my private catering 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 I couldn’t have been happier with the food, and all of my guests loved it! And you KNOW I needed Appleton Rum, ginger beer, and Ting at the bar! 🇯🇲

I wanted my guests to be able to celebrate with me and leave with gifts too. Thank you sooo much to @amika @trumatchlaceconceal @taliahwaajidbrand @beautyhealth_medspa @lovekyir for providing gifts for my guests! 🤍

Of course, thank you to @badgyalshanshan — you KILLED your DJ set!! You played all the right music and kept the crowd having fun all night. 🔥

And @myfriendscallmegypsy chilleeeee 😭 you had my back, front, AND sides all night!! The best hostess ever. You made sure I didn’t have to worry about NOTHING because you had me covered.

And most importantly, I wouldn’t be here without God and His grace and guidance. I feel Your hand on me. I see You moving in my life and continuing to create a way for me. I have to give God thanks and praise for every door opened, every lesson, and every blessing. 🙏🏾

Thank you to everyone who came to support me at my grand opening, both in person and in spirit. I love you guys!!
