In honor of Women’s History Month we’re going to be highlighting the women that have left their mark in the women’s basketball record books.

Next up are the ones with the most steals in a single game.

The leading record is 13 steals in a game against Hagerstown established by Shelby Key in 2012.

This year, Deaisjah “Shoom” Somerville almost tied the record and finished second with 12 steals in a game against Union College.

Harford legend, Capree Garner, was the first to set the record in 2012 with 11 steals against Atlantic Cape.

Lastly, with 10 steals against Northern Virginia, Kelly Foster added her name to the record books too.

Congrats to Kelly Foster on receiving an OFFER from Queens University in Charlotte, NC. Queens has been approved to make the jump to D1 next year.

For starters I want to thank my father for making it to the national tournament to support us. 💯Then I want to just thank this circle of people for being the best group of kids! From last spring until now these girls and coaches worked so hard! We came up short in the final 4 game but we were able to win 3rd place 🥉 in the national tournament and finish the season 35-1. We broke a lot of records and many girls who came here with no scholarships offers will be heading to 4 year Division 1 and 2 schools on full ride scholarships. That makes the ultimate sacrifice worth it! Love y’all forever✊🏽
