Summer's not over yet – and the new issue of HiSky magazine proves it. Inside our August edition you'll find plenty of late summer inspiration, including:

🏖️ A round-up of Europe's best city beaches, from Bucharest's improbably turquoise Lagoon Park to a sunny stretch of the Elbe in the heart of Hamburg
🏛️ Oradea's art nouveau grandeur
🍏 How to raise a glass (or two) of apfelwein in Frankfurt's centuries-old taverns
🍺 And our cover story: Dublin – perfect pints, the Long Room at Trinity and a bracing dip at the Forty Foot

The BTS concert in Paris was everything I dreamed of and more.. 💜

Electrifying. Emotional. Unforgettable!

Every song, every light, every voice singing together created a moment I'll carry with me forever. The energy was unreal, the emotions were overwhelming, and for a few hours, it felt like the whole world disappeared.
Some experiences can't be put into words... this was one of them. Thank you, BTS, and thank you, ARMY, for making this one of the most intense and beautiful nights of my life.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? ⚔️

In 2011, during my first trip to Italy and a year before my month in Rome, I visited the Roman Colosseum for the first time. Wanting to meet a local friend nearby, I sped through the visit and didn’t remember much.

I’ve visited Rome five more times since, but I neglected the Colosseum until my most recent visit because I always assumed it was too crowded with long wait times. Thankfully, I ran out of things I wanted to see, so I thought I’d give Rome’s top attraction another shot. And it just so happened that @monicasuma was in town and wanted to visit too!

We booked standard tour afternoon tickets to avoid the sun and daytime crowds, and the wait was very short. There were a good amount of people, but getting a clear view at a vantage point was easy.

If you’re visiting and want to see the underground (the hypogeum) or the upper viewing level (the “attic”), book well in advance. There’s also a separate ticket to stand on the Colosseum platform floor (the white stage in my photos where there are lots of people).

🌿 Serenity in Nature Retreat | Recunoștință & amintiri frumoase 🌿

Finally got my hands on this latest edition of Lonely Planet’s guide to Romania & Bulgaria (they sent the print copies to my Ohio address and not to Prague). This was a monster update. If you’re planning a trip this year to either RO or BG (both highly recommended), this guide will help to see you through.

Can appreciate an exceptional cup of brew? Maybe even travel for it? Then Bucharest should top your list—it’s buzzing with age-old coffeehouses and third-wave gems waiting to be discovered. ☕✨

Via Transilvanica, for the second time in National Geographic

To see “Via Transilvanica” written in black and white in National Geographic magazine is something that only appears in our wildest dreams. However, we have just found our path again, making its place in this legendary publication, in the words of Monica Suma and photographically illustrated by Paolo Verzone.

To be perfectly honest, we are speechless (and perhaps it’s for the best, to let this story do the talking), because we have discovered perhaps the most authentic portrait of the path we have seen so far, apart from the trail itself. From the essence of the project, to the natural and cultural landscape it traverses, and even its technical details, it’s all here. And they are written with love for the journey.

As they say, you cannot miss this article and remember to share it with all your friends! The link of the article is available in bio.

Thank you, Monica Suma! National Geographic, you are amazing!
