The Akuba Archives debuted its inaugural Portrait Experience in March 2026, aligning with Women’s History Month to honor five Women of Influence. These leaders, recognized for their community contributions, engaged in documenting their legacies through this professional service. The organization delivers these experiences on a quarterly basis, capturing the impact of influential figures to ensure the preservation of a digital footprint for future generations.

6 Months of Amazing

These past 6 months have been nothing short of amazing. I’ve traveled from Chicago to New York to Vegas to Florida to Maryland to DC, doing what I love: creating content that uses my heart and passion. I’ve been in rooms that I normally wouldn’t be in, thanks to the Texture vs Race team headed by Keya Neal. They’re striving to make change, and it’s inspiring to see the effect.

Mo Mo keeps me busy with the wedding game. Every time I say I want to step away, she pulls me back in. To my family, for giving me the space to travel as much as I do. To all the family and friends that keep me on my toes. I’ve learned to listen to God, move out of my way, and let Him do His things with the gifts He blessed me with. Which is hard at times to do.

I got to watch my child graduate and become a young woman, while my youngest child is happy playing the sports she loves. Though some times may be stressful, keep God first, keep your head up, and continue to move forward.

Thank you for the last 6 months and looking forward to see how you’re about to show out these next 6 months.
