l’ve always adored seeing how artists interpret my favourite fruit, and lately bananas seem to be having a little renaissance across art and interiors 🍌 Playful forms, butter yellow and spotty dotty glory.

From fruit bowls and still lifes to naive paintings and playful collage, here are seven pieces l’d very happily live with.

…I may have tried to post this post several times over the past week, and earlier today too, and failed to do so due to some frustrating admin hoops 💫

So please give this post some LOVE and share the work of these talented and utterly incredible women artists.

And thank you so much for all of your banana love too. 💛

Hi everyone, we’re starting a new video project together and want to invite you to check it out on YouTube. It’s a cozy little documentation about our time in the studio together and it’s the first of many to come.

In her latest body of work, Monika Morito explores the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces through dreamlike compositions rooted in memory and place. Drawing from childhood experiences in the Philippines and her life in Germany, Morito brings fragments of landscape, color, and atmosphere together in abstract form. Bright and earthy tones move between the familiar and unfamiliar, creating a sense of both closeness and distance. Through these layered compositions, Morito considers how memories shift across time and place, inviting viewers into an in-between space where past and present, dream and reality begin to dissolve.

The familiar, seen differently. Figurative works transform recognizable subjects into something entirely their own through color, gesture, form and perspective.

Early YTT mornings are coming to a close as we approach the last module, soon to graduate a group of courageous humans.

In supporting teachers onwards, here are some important questions I like to ask:

- By staying truthful to who you are, what gifts are you sharing w the world through teaching?

- How does teaching connect you to something bigger than yourself?

- By working through inner challenges such as fear, resentment and blame, how can you create a safe and connected space for your students?

I’ll always advocate for the potency of inner work, so that teaching comes from a place of confidence and courage.

If you’re feeling a little stuck or know that deep down, your teaching has more to offer, join me in
ALIGN ( Nov 6-8, 2026) ,
or UPLEVEL (April 29-May 2, 2027)

Limited space in both… 🔑♥️💎.

We just love how the evening light floods this en-suite doubleroom in our newly renovated holiday villa and dips it in a honey colored mood 🍯💫

Light blue and ochre yellow is the color combo of our dreams, allowing us to mix some beloved @sisterbystudioashby fabrics with @sisterhood_vienna decor and @hamimi_living lighting 🌞

Follow @casa_delle_stelle for some renovation content or to book your next holiday home 🇮🇹

A project is not ready to shoot if it doesn’t have great art. Sometimes this turns in to a beg, borrow, steal situation. 😂 Luckily @miamorossfinejewelry has an incredible art collection and it was at the center of NYC client @atelierrouxdesign’s recently published West Village project. The pattern on these @studioashby upholstered chairs + this gigantic @monikamorito painting = 👏

Dear teachers,

The good news is, this a gig with so much potential for meaningful work and connecting to wonderful humans.

The harder reality is that the practice that once liberated our minds, becomes a sometimes source of stress, fear and over-exertion.

From my years of mentoring teachers one thing is true : you have to love this work to stay afloat.

Do the (inner) work and the rest will follow.

Reach out if you’re after one:one mentoring ,
or join me this November at @originalfeelingsstudio for ALIGN , a short but powerful training for teachers.
