One of my all time favorite Burning Man experiences happened last year. My Tuesday night set at @deafgrannyskitchen was the set I was looking forward to the most all week. A massive soundsystem on Esplanade, killer lineups all week, for an absolutely exceptional camp!

But Burning Man 2025 was brutal, one of the toughest years I have experienced. It stormed every day since we had arrived for build. Intense winds, lightning and whiteouts, including the gnarliest blackout storm any of us had ever witnessed at BRC. My first set on Monday was cancelled because the stage was destroyed. Our attempts to take @themonacobrc out were all scrubbed. And this was before the rains got serious Tuesday afternoon, reminiscent of Mud Man 2023. Bikes were useless, the city was stuck, and I started to accept that my DGK set might not happen.

But if anyone could pull it off, Deaf Granny's could. They were one of the only sound camps still operating during the Mud Man. And you never know if you don't try. So I trudged through the mud, only to find a dark silent stage. My heart sank. That's when I heard a voice from the shadows "It's supposed to be the LA @the_wulfpack friends playing tonight..." "That's Me!" I shouted. That's when I officially met @moniquemonet who had been organizing their stage. I was informed DGK was scrambling to reroute the power safely and still throw the party.

I shuffled my way back to gather my music, change into some dry clothes, and convince my partner in crime @just.be.lyte to join me. She was the only one brave enough to go adventuring with me in the chaos. We cautiously sloshed our way back to Esplanade. This time the lights were on, the sound was roaring and the stage was alive. Full of Burners who were stir crazy and ready to party. I got to play to a packed tent, one of my favorite sets of all time, before handing over the decks to my Wulfpack brother @djaaronjacobs We absolutely rocked the stage.

A super huge Thank You goes out to Monique, @ericferis , @magicisdeepwithin , @enlighten.up and everyone involved with their camp, everyone who braved the weather to join us on the dance floor.

Then there was the time we found that strange middle eastern shopping community in Glendale and went to that market and found this dough, which I haven’t had since I stopped seeing my family and shared it with you. Your face said “I don’t know about this”, but then you tried it and you were so surprised you actually kept drinking it because it was so tasty.

Monique, I ain’t kidding when I say that I will be yours from now until the end of time. You and I have been through so much in just a short time, I have felt love unlike anything I have ever experienced, and better than I could have ever imagined. I couldn’t have asked for a better wife, and I am so grateful God brought us back together. I will always be there for you. I have your back, but also whatever challenges you face I will stand between you and them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to lay down my life to protect yours. I will always keep my promise to you, and always keep my word to be true. It’s just you and I, my love, against the world and against all odds! I love you baby.

I love you more than life itself. You are the most amazing person I have ever met. You’re smart, you’re funny, you’re courageous, down to earth, loving, beautiful, wise, one boss ass bitch, and I can depend on you. Truly, I am yours and I belong to you always. I am truly thankful to God that I am your husband. We are a different kind of breed. We wanted love. real, true love. Everything else is frankly just unimportant. In all truth, you have made me wealthy in all of the ways I have needed most, and not in the way of greed and gluttony.

Don’t you dare forget! The way I see it, you have made me the luckiest man to ever have existed. My sweet, dear Monet. Thank you.

Beach days in Laguna with the boys of Black Sheep Circuit. Always spiritually fulfilling. The Kamaramadingdong!

Lolololololololol Fuck, I hate instagram and social media. 6 thumbs down.

This one’s for you @moniquemonet, you’re my terrorist chick takin’ care of this dick. In all regards, no offense everybody, but fuck everyone, it’s me and Monet against the world, till the wheels fall off, till we get wrinkly and old and eventually die. Nothing can stand in our way, I love you, you’re my whole world and always will be. You are my home, and one day we will walk into the light together, and return home to paradise. But for now, let’s just walk into the sunset on the beach. #loveyoubaby #thisonesforyoumonet #husband #formylady #kissmewhenyouseethis #fuckeverybody #youandi #bonnieandclyde #fuckpolice #befree #fuckthegovernment #onlygodcanjudge #letsgohometogether #ilovemywife #faithfultilltheend #thankyou #thankyougodforbringingmelove
