We’re not billionaires, and won’t ever be...

We’re a tiny alternative to massive businesses that operate globally, raking in billions of dollars by selling you anything you could possibly imagine but may not need, and doing it in a way that’s not great for their employees, suppliers or the environment.

We know it’s convenient and sometimes very cheap to order from a platform that offers nearly anything in just a few clicks. However, we think they are doing great harm to our local economy and driving things like data centre expansion.

We don’t expect everyone to buy from us, but we always want to highlight that there are plenty of alternatives: loads of brilliant small businesses in Ireland working so hard to grow and produce food in challenging conditions, make incredibly unique products of all kinds and collaborate to keep our communities vibrant.

Thanks for shopping small and local, and especially for refilling! And tag other small businesses you love below, we’re all in this together.

Looking forward to joining @suzanneparkersolicitor on The #Weekender this Sunday.

A lovely opportunity to look back on the journey so far — the people, the unexpected turns and the lessons I’ve learnt along the way.

Tune in to WLR FM from 12 o’clock this Sunday. 💛

This day last week....What an incredible day in Waterford!

I was delighted to be invited as keynote speaker to talk about something that has been part of my life for a very long time: sustainability.

My talk focused on the small, practical changes we can all make in everyday life and in business. Changes that might seem insignificant on their own, but when lots of us make them, can have a really big impact.

I’m a huge believer in that ripple effect. We don’t have to do everything perfectly. We just have to make better choices where we can.

It was such a brilliant event, with so many wonderful businesses and inspiring people in the room. I was genuinely delighted to be invited to be part of it and to share a subject I care so much about.

Oh and I was delighted to see not one or two but three women in the room wearing my earrings! Thank you Network Ireland Waterford for having me and for making me feel so welcome.

Believe in your Impact⁣
Network Ireland Waterford ⁣
10th September ⁣
⁣
I was honoured to be asked to take part in the panel discussion for @networkirelandwaterford September event last week. ⁣A lovely catch up with @lilypod.ie for the spin down followed by
⁣an incredible morning spent with inspiring ladies and @brownesphotography can’t wait to see those photos! (Disclaimer it was really hot 🥵 🫣😂)⁣
⁣
As always our lovely president @clairemooney_reducecosts was welcoming and had organised another really different event. ⁣
⁣
Turns out @siobhandalydesigns not only makes stunning jewellery but is also a fabulous keynote speaker 🙌🏻 so many takeaways and as someone who already tries to be as sustainable as possible there some new nuggets for me @iampatkane new second chance society 🤩🤩⁣
⁣
Thanks to @sineadoneillconsulting for asking such insightful questions of @mailopower @urbanaran and myself and for being happy to repeat the questions for my perimenopause brain! It was lovely to hear such varying answers from the other panelists apart from the last question which was if you need something, be it advice a gift or support to look to your network! ⁣
⁣
And last but by no means least Aga 🙌🏻🙌🏻 @thewizardofcreation you earned your name 🤩💜 I came away feeling like I could make my own clothes! This is something from someone who can barely sew on a button! You made it look effortless 🥰🥰 If anyone is looking for for a fun engaging workshop look no further 🥳⁣ And @majestichoteltramore what a venue 🤩🤩 the food was mouthwatering with a beautiful view, thanks to Laura and all the staff for looking after us 🙏🏻 #naturesalchemy #networkireland #networkirelandwaterford #supportlocal #sustainableskincare
