Update: Theo came home all on his own!

URGENT MISSING FERRET!
If seen, please message @thefabricatorsferrets
Some time last night my ferret Theo escaped through a screen on my window. Please keep an eye out for him in the Bryn Mawr-Skyway area of South Seattle.
Ferrets are natural hiders and may be hiding in a shed or under a deck.
He is sweet and DOES NOT bite.
He is timid around new people and sounds, freezing or hiding when startled.
He knows his name and his favorite word is "breakfast".
Approach slowly and he'll come sniff you out of curiosity.

NO AI USED IN CREATING THIS POST. Using Canva because I have not found a good alternative.

This is part one of my ME posts. This part is my contribution to mutual aid and supporting our community with ME, especially those with severe, very severe or profoundly severe types of ME.

The ME community keeps suffering, losing friends and loved ones due to death from ME. Support those living with ME before they die. Many people with ME do not have adequate supports. Most people with ME live in poverty due to medical expenses and being unable to work. Many governments do not consider ME a disability, although ME is severely disabling. Many people living with severe ME go without food, water and adequate care.

Please share, add to your story, copy link, repost, comment your favourite thing about October, check out and follow all of the people tagged. All of the links needed to support these lovely people are in my mutual aid link in bio.

@mutualaidforme @mequeermutualaid There is a light purple background with purple leaves boarding the top of the post. There are drawings of purple and blue flowers at the bottom of the post. Blue text reads: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Mutual Aid. Black text reads: ME is severely disabling and people with ME often rely on supports to live, but many do not have access to it.

“Why doesn’t your family help?” I’m crying after reaching out to an uncle asking him to simply hang up a flyer. This is someone who goes to church regularly.

My mom, who was just diagnosed with a brain tumor & is in & out of the hospital all the time & destitute, & her sister (who also has brain & spinal tumors) is also in & out of the hospital - the two people in my family who are in the *worst* position to help financially - are the only ones who have helped in any way. Why does It alway seem the people with the least give the most? The same goes for the amazing online ME / chronic illness community… if it wasn’t for you all & your kindness & support, no matter how small it seems, I don’t know where I’d be. It truly means so much.

But the level of delusion in this country about what is done for disabled people is so incredibly depressing. Spending the little energy I have reaching out to people asking for minimal help only to get silence in response or interrogations & accusations. Expending emotional energy like crying causes my condition to worsen as well, since *any* energy expenditure causes a crash. I’m so very tired of it all. 💔

(If you’d like a copy of the flyer to print & put up that I cobbled together from some of the slides @its_whitney_witch so generously created for me, please DM me and I’ll send it to you (I used to be a freelance graphic designer & studied it in college for my art degree, so I’m a bit ashamed of this pastiche that my neurological system is now excruciatingly punishing me for making, but I’ve been intending to make one since a month before I became homeless… I just didn’t have the stamina to make one from scratch)
