Date night agenda: quality time, good food, and protecting our future. 🗳️✨

We took some time out of ours to vote in the midterms because, honestly, there’s never been a more important time to make our voices heard.

Our vote carries power, and it represents more than just ourselves. It’s our voice for those who can not vote, those whose voices deserve to be heard, and for the future we want to build together.

And a little appreciation for @monkeypantsla for encouraging voters with FREE custom Monchhichi voting stickers! It’s such a thoughtful way for a small business to encourage civic engagement and remind us that every vote counts!

✨ Vote early. Don’t wait until the last minute.
✨ Your vote matters. Your voice matters.
✨ Civic engagement isn’t just a right; it’s a responsibility.

Make voting part of your plans, whether it’s a date, a solo adventure, or a stop on your daily errands. Because the future isn’t something we just hope for. And as Lucy from Peanuts would say, there are a whole lot of BLOCKHEADS out there. But we can’t just point at the blockheads, complain about the blockheads, and hope the blockheads magically disappear! If we want change, we have to participate in making it happen. IT RUNS ON OUR VOTES. 🗳️✊

Introducing What Would You Do?—a new series asking Angelenos what they would do if they were mayor of Los Angeles or governor of California. We’re kicking things off in Little Tokyo with Yzzy of @monkeypantsla, who shares what she would do as mayor of LA.

Now we’re passing the question to you: If you were mayor, what would you do? Tell us in the comments. 👇

POV: you accidentally turned your Little Tokyo trip into a full-on Monchhichi HUNT 🐒🎀

Spent the day exploring Little Tokyo with my bestie and of course I could not resist all the cuteness. So many stores offering all kinds of kawaii goodies but I obviously had my eye on the Miffy’s and Monchhichis 🤩✨ From tiny Monchhichis to some finds I didn’t even see in Japan….the hunt was ON.

Did I need another Monchhichi? Absolutely not.
Did I leave with one anyway? Obviously. 😭💸
