Today is my birthday. This is a particularly fierce one.

I've been navigating this planetary and eclipse energy in Leo, with Leo as both my sun and moon sign. It’s been so much fire.

I’m facing the reality that we may be in the final pages of my dear 13-year-old canine BFF Chessa's life.

This actual number on the solar dial feels big. It’s got symmetry. It holds many decades of lived experience. And yet, feeling that number is tender.

My relationship with my partner has been feeling heat and pressure too. He and I are growing toward something deeper than we’ve traversed together so far.

It’s been a hard summer. An entire fiery season requiring me to bathe in the forest or ocean every day just to keep calibrated.

So resoundingly, this birthday, my most profound gratitude goes to all the amazing women and soul sisters in my life. You absolutely light me up with joy, celebration, communion, connection, respect, appreciation, delight, and boundless LOVE. All the time.

To be a woman among women like you, my dear ones, is the greatest gift this lap around the sun has given me. Not everyone is on IG, so I'm only tagging those who are. Thank you, I love you all!
💖🥰💫🔥🎉

𝙏𝙀𝙀𝙉 𝙀𝘿𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉! Another awesome job by the ninth- to twelfth-graders out west! 🎭🔥🪽👿🌺🎸🐦🔮🎶

We didn’t mess with the H-town formula too much—they were *so* thrilled to engage with something fresh that is still running. Many of them superfans, they wanted it to look “just like Broadway!” and I was down to help deliver that dream… 𝙁𝙖𝙪𝙭 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙨! 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙉𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨! 𝙎𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚! We forewent the stage turntable - just WOW to every school out there who’s trying.

Cheers to @monocular101 🥂 Here’s to an unforgettable run—on stage and in every moment in between. A standing O for your work, passion, and legacy as a theater educator.

Feeling the California R💎ZZLE D💎ZZLE after a super time working with the students and staff at Cate School on their spring musical production of "Chicago {TEEN EDITION}”!
🎩🎩🎩
The effort put forth was phenomenal…. Congrats to all involved, most especially my theater buddy since 7th grade, Ms. Downey AKA @monocular101. It never ceases to amaze and fill me with joy that we're still at it!

For those of you wondering… beating around the bush really, I DID get the procedure to extend my left shoulder. They say when you want the best, go get the best. And, as we all know, the best shoulder extension practitioners are in California. Anyone looking to offload extra chips: I’m available.

• Bonditony’s Burguer Joint • Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺🇪🇸Followers, today I take you to a small hamburger restaurant near the beach that caught my attention with its interior. It is really unique and very peculiar with high wooden tables and other living rooms. The walls are filled with memories of rock music over the years. The entire ceiling is full of signatures and phrases. They say that his bathroom is unique and he even has an electric guitar in the toilet.

The nausea is real!!! 🤢 Finally made it to @vrworldnyc w/ @monocular101 (who nailed every game we tried). I fell over in a dramatic attempt to avoid a pretend axe being thrown at me by a zombie. Worth going for the panty liner-esque mask they make you wear for sanitation reasons.

Today a genuine seaside fish market with incredibly fresh lunch of langoustines, rice and cerveza.

Deeply thankful for this amazing friend of 30 years, the many cherished, loved ones in my heart and life, relationships of depth, my own freedom to explore this world, generosity and kindness in the human soul and the grace to live this life wide open and full-on with tenderness and joy, come what may.
