Man soll ja bekanntlich niemals nie sagen.

I’ve always found it really hard to take time off. The pressure of orders, the never-ending to-do lists, customers impatiently waiting for their bags (and I totally understand them), and this feeling that everything will stop if I leave the workshop for a few days.

So I took the end of Maxime and Baptiste’s internship as an opportunity to wrap up these beautiful encounters in the best way possible, and leave… to test the bags! Well, that was mostly an excuse.

After four months of working together, making things, solving problems and talking about bikes all day long, travelling together felt different. And it felt good to rediscover that very particular feeling of spending your days (and nights) outside, moving from one place to another with everything you need strapped to your bikes.

One thing’s for sure, I’ll remember these two weeks of bikepacking in the South, through a heatwave and with Thelma riding up front on the cargo bike 🫠

Getting lost and stumbling across beautiful places, drinking the 3 litres of water each of us was constantly carrying in one go (and stressing as we watched our water supplies disappear while we were in the middle of nowhere), swimming in a fountain, getting stopped by people every five minutes because Thelma looked so damn cute on the bike.

So thank you guys 🫶 and thank you Telma.
