▪️Monson first realized he wanted to play football this year. His personal goals for the season are to play good. His advice for the younger players on the team is to work hard. He will miss being with the team the most about football. He plans to go on a mission after high school and then attend BYU. Monson would like to give a shoutout to his mom.

▪️Monson’ Mom said “ I’ve enjoyed watching Monson play multiple sports since he was 3 years old, but never football; not a day in his life! I tried for years and even signed him up, walked him to the field with the Coach waiting and he refused to go. So to say I’m “THRILLED” he wanted to be apart of football his Senior year is an understatement for this Mama! Monson has loved being apart of the football team and is enjoying the opportunity to use his “soccer foot” on the “American football” field when he gets the chance. With this being his first and last football season ever, I’m both excited and nervous while also being happy that he’s brave enough to try something new. Watching him at the first JV game of the season send a kickoff ball for the first time ever and getting a touchback made me proud! I hope he gets a chance to continue playing the game in the years to come with his same buds on the team! I hope that Monson will take the lessons he’s learned from all his years of being coached and his football coaches that he looks up to so much, and apply those things in his life to be a better person on and off the field. To my Monson… My youngest of 5, only son and baby of the family. You’ve been mothered 5 times over with four older sisters. We all love you so much there just aren’t words enough! Always be humble and kind and let your true nature guide you throughout your life. Smile, it’s one of God’s greatest gifts to you to welcome and invite others in with that beautiful smile of yours. We’re counting on you to be your best self and help others along the way! Love you! ❤️
