Before I tell y’all what I’m dying to tell y’all 🤭 my 8.5 hour trip from Louisiana to Georgia this past weekend with my man & both of my kids in tow to view my film, “There Through Anything” in theatre, along with the 35th anniversary showing of my one of all time favorite movies, “The Five Heartbeats”, AND meeting Leon in person, worked out just fine 🥹 This post may be short of words but trust that I am still on a natural high from this whole experience. @renethelovepoem, thank you so much again for choosing me for your project. I absolutely enjoyed helping your vision come to life. It was truly a pleasure 🥹 Fun fact: my man, @montelchristopher, was actually one of the Production Assistants for the film. Thank you for the pictures of me & your expertise on assisting with this project 💋 Thank you to @soulcinemasundays for selecting our film to be shown for such a special moment in history. We are forever grateful 🙏🏽 Thank you to @wwwjustleon for being so pleasant, talented, consistent in your work, & making the greatest classic of all time 🥹 I know I’ve watched “The Five Heartbeats” well over a few thousand times in my 35 years of living. Last but not least, thank you to everybody who came out to support & have a great time. We appreciate you all. On to the next city & adventure ✨🎬♥️

& yes, that’s Leon’s autograph on a napkin 😩😮‍💨😍

Our very first theatre screening was a success!

Firstly, we’d like to thank the cast and crew of There Through Anything including film producer M. René Coleman, award-nominated actress Brittany Wiggins, and renowned filmmaker Montel Christopher.

We also want to extend our gratitude to Soul Cinema Sundays, Audio Video Club, Orange Amber Productions, Ken Rye Marketing, and Plaza Theatre for this amazing opportunity to showcase our film on a very special occasion.

Enjoying the arts together as a community is a big leap towards creating the future we want to see for each other, with each other, and through the rhythms and blues of how we show up for each other. With community members and artists like Jeannine Etter, Abyss Graham, Ernie Suggs, Ken Rye, and Leon, we believe that future is a very promising reality in the making.

Atlanta, thank you again for having us. This is only the beginning of many milestones to come for There Through Anything and Sunkissed Blues Productions. 💫
