I am sharing my current low tox swaps as when I was starting out looking for products to help reduce my exposure to endocrine disruptors I really struggled I was searching for months to find products that actually worked for me. While these may or may not work for you they are definitely good options to try! 🤍

Why I choose to limit my exposure to endocrine disruptors ?
Limiting exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) is important living with endometriosis because these substances interfere with hormone signaling, trigger inflammation and can potentially worsen lesion growth.

I hope you find this post useful for your low tox journey.

(This is not health advice just sharing what I am using to protect my hormones)

Sending hugs - Bree

Sharing what is working for my eczema kids at the moment 🤞My kids are 4 and 2 and had really bad eczema at a younger age, their eczema is quite manageable at the moment. But they are quite itchy with the change of weather and lots of bugs and allergens around on the farm this time of year! This is not medical advice, please consult your dr or pharmacist for best personalised advice 🫶🏻 This is what works for us..
❤️ Bathing nightly/ Luke warm and short baths
❤️ Pine tarsol has been amazing for my kids to soothe their skin when they’re quite itchy and having a flare up. I put it in their bath and let them soak.
❤️ We use QV Bath oil most nights just for a “normal” bath no flare ups or small ones
❤️ Moo-goo bubble wash occasionally as a special treat , as it’s so exciting for them to have a bubble bath that doesn’t flare them up
❤️QV Moisturising cream as soon as they get out the bath
❤️ Moogoo shampoo and conditioner
❤️ Our UV tops instead of sunscreen to help avoid flare ups or make them worse by adding sunscreen in the warmer months.

When the kids are having a really bad flare up, which isn’t very often these days luckily. We do bleach baths, steroid cream, dermaid cream and antihistamine under drs advice.

What product do you swear by for your eczema kids? 🫶🏻

I’m going to go all in on this page! Because eventually next year it will turn into my business page, or work alongside it 🥰 but that’s for another day…

I guess when you spend your whole life being toxic and being around toxic, there comes a point where you want to low tox the hell out of your life 🤷‍♀️ and yourself. Quite literally head to toe. Turns out it’s a whole lot easier to low tox your home than yourself, but we’re still grinding, still committed to the process 🫶

I started low tox by switching and ditching slowly. First it was the kitchen things, I ditched all plastic and teflon, swapped for stainless steel, glass and wood. Ditched the microwave. Next was tap water and ingredients, ie seed oils and processed meat. You can be aware and willing to learn, eager to do better where you can but also know you can’t always be perfect with it

I was always a perfume and candle girly, but once you know better you must do better. These were two things that were hard to let go but I ditched them anyway 🤪 fragrances are a huge no thanks! I’ll say it louder for the people in the back, clean does not have a smell !!

Obviously it’s a no brainer that I want better for my daughters. Learning to balance my hormones and avoid hormone disrupters helps them too, especially having a teen going through all things hormones, does she listen to me? Absolutely not. But besides the point, I keep sharing everything I learn with her, slowly she’s jumping on board with me. She ditched all her cheap and nasty products in her own time and now uses everything I make + a few @moogooskincare products we found to be one of the best low tox options on the market 🫶

I’ve had two babies, I exclusively breastfed (one is still going) I bathed them both only in olive oil. They both still had eczema.. did I stop to think laundry detergent and fabric softener could be a cause? Nope, I had no idea. But now it makes perfect sense. We’re so conditioned to believe that “clean” ment you lathered your home and bodies in as many cleaning products and beautiful smelling fragrances as possible 🤢 but you don’t know what you don’t know.

I walk straight past the cleaning isle at the super markets now

Soft, shiny hair doesn’t have to come from a coating. 🌿

So many conditioners give instant smoothness that fades as soon as it builds up. The gentler ones lean on plant oils and butters instead, and your hair actually gets to drink them in.

This week, check the back of your conditioner bottle. You might be surprised by what’s in there. 🤍

Which of these ingredients did you find on your label? Drop it in the comments 👇

Swapping your shampoo is a great first step in your hair care routine. 🌿

You don’t need to change everything at once. When your current bottle runs out, flip the next one over and read the label before it goes in your trolley. Small, steady swaps add up. 🤍

Save this for your next shop, and share it with someone who’s been making the switch with you.
