A recap of our recent performance of Unheld lll at @moon___screen @wakinglife.pt 🫴🏽✨🫧

Each performance is like opening a portal to a new yet familiar world of sound and image. We learn to move and create within these new realms together, and each journey is entirely its own. Looking forward to opening many more portals. 🚪🪄

Oh, you might seek truth down a well
Elements of certain value, some
Eye, breeze, drops
They might be profound or trivial, a sudden spell, hidden in a shell, a
stone, echo, oracle
A long string spinning from
spring equinox to summer solstice
Or from heaven to hell, to a
shadow, castle, old tree
Someone may drop an orange into the depths of that well
Or a sun down your throat, your lips, your whispers
and then
Soft giggles behind the light which may reveal
A certain timbre within the darkness of the
Mountains, dreams in feverish nights
your laughter still spills into a teardrop on the tip of a spear,
which slides deeply into that heavy heart full of broken glass,
that force, which wrestles the tongue to shoot back, to squash itself onto some chalked walls of those mediterranean houses bleached by endless summers. Or to spill silently into revolutionary chants echoing
in empty deserts, lost highways, endless tunnels.
Oh, do appreciate a certain mirage, a scent which hits you unexpected and strong
And drags the empty words out of your guts and through your dried-out mouth like fine sparkling wine,
just to lead your childish steps to the unexpected realm of the
Well, the holy spring, the pagan god, the mother, the monster, the wormhole, the never ending, the just-being, as it is overturning the centuries of humankind and now...
Well well well
We'll see
We'll see
We'll seed

I started visiting @wakinglife.pt for the @moon___screen program a few years ago, and because of that I kept coming back. But this was a very special one. Connected to great people, colleagues and friends, and kept running one of those special places around in the festival. A big thank you to all filmmakers and artists who brought something to this screen to feed the weirdos’ chill pill. Big hug to @maxburstyn , @adriensoy , @samthewitch_ and @alexandre_g2, and a special one to Michelle, who brought all these people together and brought Moonscreen to life out of persistence. See you all soon!
