🌕 BVSR goes to the moon (in cologne) 🌕

Together with European Space Agency (@esa) Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. @dlr and the LUNA Analog Facility we successfully concluded CASIMAR LUNA Campaign 1 - the first of hopefully many to come.

We tested custom, student-developed tools for astronauts to use in the hostile environment of the moon while constrained by a space suit. We prepared procedures for operations on the lunar surface and were able to implement those during the campaign using original communication equipment for space operations. And of course we enabled students to take the primary roles in this development and in the campaign.

Thank you Ian and Rico for organizing this CASIMAR campaign for #BVSR together with the DLR campaign leads Aileen Rabsahl and Timon Karl-Heinz Schwarz.
Thank you to BEARS e.V., Small Satellite Student Society of the University of Stuttgart - KSat e.V., MoonAixperts, STAR Dresden e.V. and TU Darmstadt Space Technology e.V. for taking part in this exciting first mission.

🚀 BVSR Conference 2025 was a blast! 🌍
Over the past weekend, we gathered for our annual conference and general assembly - and what an inspiring and productive time it was!

Over 200 Students from across #Germany and #Austria came together to:
🛰️ Share progress from student space projects
✨ Discuss the future of #BVSR and our member initiatives
🤝 Strengthen collaboration within our growing network
📈 Shape the strategic direction of the association for the coming year
✋ Elected a new board for the coming year: Natascha, Jannis & Rico

One of the central themes of this year’s conference was "lessons learned" - highlighting the importance of making mistakes, and using them to learn even more and develop into better engineers, scientists, managers, and team players. Learning from failure is essential for everyone. It was refreshing to take part in a conference where setbacks weren’t hidden, but openly discussed, reflected on, and even joked about - celebrated just as much as success.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event - especially Daniel Gros and Space Team Aachen e.V. (@spaceteamaachen) who hosted the event at #RWTH Aachen University (@rwthaachenuniversity)
We also greatly appreciated the insightful presentations from Dr. Anke Pagels-Kerp, Florian Mrosek, Tobias Recker, Dr. Stefan Metzger, Dr. Kolja Nicklaus, Jonas Franke, and Lukas Freiheit.

Special thanks to the supporters of this years conference:

We are proud to see the momentum of student spaceflight in Germany continue to grow and we’re excited for the projects, partnerships, and progress ahead! 🚀

📣 Additionally: We are thrilled to announce that the BVSR Conference 2026 will be hosted by @tudsat_ev

If you or your organization would like to be part of next year’s conference - whether through participation, partnership, or support - feel free to get in touch!

Together with all the other German spaceflight student groups we were attending the BVSR conference 2025 in Aachen, hosted by @spaceteamaachen - THE space student meet-up of the year in Germany with around 200 attendees this year around.
It was an amazing weekend and it was great seeing all the old friends again and getting to know the new faces.
Next year the conference will be held in Darmstadt by @tudsat_ev - we are already excited.

We recently attended the annual BVSR conference in Friedrichshafen, and it was a fantastic experience filled with insightful discussions, valuable exchanges, and engaging workshops.
The conference featured a series of compelling lectures and exciting visits to Airbus Defence and Space, as well as STI.
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to present N2ORTH and truly enjoyed connecting with so many of our colleagues and friends.
We look forward to seeing you all again in a year at the latest!

You can also listen to the Deutschlandfunk feature on the conference here: https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/karrierezukunft-im-all-treffen-der-raumfahrt-studierenden-in-friedrichshafen-dlf-767a8416-100.html

🚀 Exciting times for the BEARS! 🌌 We recently attended the Aeronautic Student Conference (BVSR) in Friedrichshafen (16th-19th of May 2024), hosted by @seesat_ev , and what an inspiring experience it was! Connecting with fellow student space associations from @bvsr.space , we shared our projects, exchanged ideas, and delved into workshops on future space endeavors. The passion for space exploration was truly infectious. Here's to new friendships and collaborative projects! 🌠 #BEARS #BVSR #rockets #robotics #space #explore #aerospace

Last week we went to the BVSR Conference 2024 in Friedrichshafen.

During our 4-day trip, we met all the @bvsr.space teams and other space enthusiasts, talked about our projects and current developments, and took a look into the future of our association. Besides many interesting presentations and workshops, we had the chance to get a deep insight into the space industry at Bodensee, represented by @airbus_space and SpaceTech.

The highlight of this year's conference was the first Student Space Forum, which took place in the historic @dorniermuseum.

Special thanks to this year's host @seesat_ev and a warm welcome to our new members @auxspace_ev, @sprog.ev, @tuspaceteam, @moonaixperts and @aerospaceteamgrazofficial.

See you next year in Aachen, when it's @spaceteamaachen's turn. 🚀
