Moments from my belated 30th birthday party in LA🍸✨

As my friends know, I am a sentimental being. I let them know how much I love and appreciate them often. After this night, friends told me every time they looked at me at my party I was laughing, giggling, and smiling. It’s because my heart was full (as was my glass that y’all literally kept full all night).

I’ve lived in LA for 7 years. These friends have become my family away from family. LA region rat fam, Zack & Raven, I’ve known since middle school. Having my ppl from the 219 here made it even more special.

I’m grateful our paths crossed, whether it was at 12 years old or 22. Love y’all forever. 💕

Thank you @changochutney for the digital photos and @frannycromwell for the balcony pics.

Thank you Will and everyone @thewashingtonla for taking care of us and letting us take over the patio/bar! You guys are the best.

A June photo dump so that maybe I can catch up for July 😉

HIGH HIGHS and low lows.
🎂 Celebrated @bre_sends 30th birthday in Big Bear; these moments when we all say “yes” to quality time mean more now than ever
🛼 Brought 100+ skaters together for our first @metrolosangeles x @academymuseum collab, and made history as the first skaters to roll at the museum! So grateful to @tha0tran and @tocatzin for helping make it happen
🤸 Stayed playful and silly with @primalmovesvenice
🔥 Campfire sing-alongs with @mario.rodriguez.0000 and friends, plus the boundless love I get to come home to every day
🌈 Produced (and sold out) our Pride Skate Party to raise money for @lapride, alongside so many incredible collaborators @womxn.events @mikothedj @adamgoesham @jamieeluvv @daddiisyd @violet.vvitch @yazminmonetwatkins

June was also the month I got the sickest I’ve ever been (last photo). Valley fever knocked me OUT: brain fog, body aches, night sweats, bloodwork, and ~2 straight weeks of being fully down and out + lingering symptoms for ~8 weeks after. The worst of it hit during a big event week, and grinding through it to keep things from falling apart felt impossible at times. Couldn’t have done it without my loving + supportive network 🫂

The experience was a great lesson in cultivating a “this too shall pass” mindset. I’ve never woken up feeling bad so many days in a row, and it definitely took a big toll on my mental health. ❤️‍🩹 spoiler alert, but, my fav part about July was regaining my strength and optimism and having my energy back to frolic with friends 🙌

A lil rusty on my edits and barely any footage taken but still a night to remember. Here’s to another 17+ years skating together.
