@moonloops101 This is layers of painted paper on wood. It was a lot of peeling off and then sticking back on, hacking into the surface, recomposing each time. The paper gets weaker and weaker. I sort of like the idea of putting it through something harsh and creating a sense of things breaking down. I’ve always loved old walls and marks and this is sort of like my own sped up process of what the weather and elements do to things.

I was also listening to J Dilla a lot, thinking about his off-centre beats in relation to my wonky / broken grids. 😊

Oliver Lunn @moonloops101

Conversations About Art - Oliver Lunn
On October 18, @pauljonathanrowland and I had a conversation with @moonloops101 about his artwork and how he creates his multi-layered pieces that result in calm, muted colors. He also reveals how he comes up with his fun and poetic titles. You can view the conversation on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/wSXl8A11uEM. (You are not able to click this link.
