CANBERRA TSUSHIMAMIRE SUPPORTS

THE KING HITS
Canberra’s foremost Cramps enthusiasts, King Hits sets are a hoot and a history lesson. The trio pull out lesser-heard cuts from the halcyon era of surf guitar, seamlessly blended with their own swampy, stomping originals. Check out their new double A-side 7” recorded by Owen Penglis of Straight Arrows (who’s recorded every garagey Aus band worth their salt, from Royal Headache to Miniskirt).

THE MIGHTY HOOPSNAKE
Australia’s only fully-accredited, ecology-themed punk band. Two biologists with an equal and abiding respect for the natural world and stoner-rock riffs. True to their ethos of environmental conservation, the duo have done away with any notion of a guitar player entirely and left the heavy lifting - heavy being the operative word - to the low carbon footprint of the bass guitar. Their debut album, Terror Australis, was released last year.

MORGUES
A dreampop duo, split between Sydney and Canberra, who’ve been quietly recording and releasing melodic gems since 2020. Wistful bedroom pop in the classic Sarah Records mould: interior character studies, with an underlying yearning for the great beyond. For fans of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Hatchie and Alvvays. Set adrift on a memory bliss.

🎤 @iamhandsomemusic is a self-described tomboy electronic pop artist from Australia, her music celebrates the power of expression, creativity and fluidity and creates a space for anyone who longs to feel free.

🎤 @mor6ues are Celeste and Cath: an indie pop duo born in Sydney who are awkward romantic day dreamers that yearn to escape the day to day. Inspired by tiny little houses, Frightened Rabbit and Alvvays, their music is melancholic and sparkling.
