#leyenda #kellyslater #edwinmoralesphotography

A little behind the scenes from our production trip at our @dosbootsmezcal “Palenque”. Mezcal is THE most labor intensive beverage spirits process. From soil to sip it’s about as “farm to bottle” as you will ever get to experience. Certified Artisanal. Enjoy 😊🥃🌵❤️. #showusyourboots

The term mezcal is derived from the Nahuatl word for cooked agave, the paramount plant involved in the spirit's production. While its tall, spiky green leaves are an iconic emblem of mezcal, it's the piña “❤️”, the rounded stem that resembles a pineapple, that's used to make the spirit. Agave has to grow for at least 8 years + to be ready for mezcals long process. Some of @dosbootsmezcal agave is planted with corn, watermelon and other fruits and vegetables to enhance or products beautiful taste. #showusyourboots
