What a beautiful night opening for Candela Wax 🔥 @movimientoslondon over at @thejagodalston where I danced way back when it was Passing Clouds, this time bringing pure vinyl and percussion handpicked with love from Latin America over the years. 🪇🌎🔊

I’m so grateful to founders @djcaljader & @moralitofunky for this unforgettable experience, thanks for the gentle guidance and creative camaraderie. They are one of my favourite B2B’s in the London scene, so it was truly an honour to play on the same stage at the Jago. Cal’s programming @thefoxandfirkin and through Movimientos is among my all time favourites. Moralito’s collective Clandestina has also inspired me, seeing the depth of community surrounding the music. 🫶🏽✨🌈

What an epic set from Tiki Boom @fernanda.valeraa loved the Lucha Libre mask and groovy musical selections, we even picked a few of the same tracks - Aguanilé and Cumbia de los Pajaritos. I’m grateful for the invite to collab with the collective Tiki’s a part of @quitapenascolectiva a group of Latin American artists based around Bilbao opening spaces for tropical grooves from Abya Yala. 💃🎶🏝️

This marks an exciting new chapter for me connecting through music from behind the DJ decks @yageuar and taking my records around to share alegría on the dance floor and the love of the Latin American sound.

P’al bailador 🎶🌎🌿 🐆

Two of London's finest selectors coming together for a one-off B2B at BARRIO CANTÓN w/GIA FU ⭐ Moralito, co-founder of Clandestina, and Pacheco, founder of Our Latin Thing, both known for their vinyl sets spanning golden-era Salsa and Afro Latin sounds 🔥🔥🔥🔥

DJ, radio host, and Our Latin Thing founder, @Pacheco_nw1 is carving out a bold new space in London's underground Latin scene. Behind the decks, Pacheco brings a signature sound that bridges golden-era Salsa and Guaguancó, with Cumbia, Boogaloo, Latin-Jazz, -Soul and -Funk, blending deep cuts and rare grooves with timeless anthems. Channelling the vibrant spirit of the 70s while igniting modern dance floors, he delivers swing, soul, and serious fuego❤️‍🔥

Colombian-born, London-based DJ @moralitofunk brings a deep love of Salsa and Afro Latin sounds off vinyl. He brought London's first all-vinyl salsa night with live percussion to Space Talk, and is one half of Candela Wax. He's also co-founder of Clandestina, London's Latin party made in unconventional places, and has played everywhere from Carnaval de Barranquilla to dancefloors across London.

@jazzonwickldn returns to East London on 5 September for a celebration spread across multiple venues and stages in Hackney Wick 🔊🌊

From the minds behind Colour Factory, Orii Community and Voices Radio, Jazz on Wick is a day-to-night celebration of jazz and its boundary-pushing energy 💥 We have been invited to join the line-up, opening one of the stages with our signature dance-floor oriented sounds🕺🏽🕺🏽

With very special guest:
@tropic_aza is the DJ/selector moniker of Mexico City’s underground musician, journalist and music scholar Carlos Icaza who makes youngsters and oldies dance like they never danced before with his DJ sets, all analogue, all original pressings of some of his discoveries in 20th century Latin American music with a beat for dancing, blending latin funk, soul, disco, rap, rock & pop obscurities, ethnic, rare grooves and his well known tropical heat. He’s performed at clubs, festivals and carnivals all over including Rio, Recife & Barranquilla. Also museums such as LACMA (Los Angeles), MOLAA (Los Angeles), Museo Tamayo (CDMX) and many others.

Colombian born, London based DJ @moralitofunk brings a deep love of Salsa and Afro Latin sounds off vinyl. Fresh off a set at Tate Modern Lates, he brought London's first all vinyl salsa night with live percussion to Space Talk, and is one half of Candela Wax. He's also co-founder of Clandestina, London's Latin party made in unconventional places, and has played everywhere from Carnaval de Barranquilla to dancefloors across London.

☀️See you at midday! Lets make Saturday a long one 🎶🎶🎶 📅5 September 📍Hackney Wick
