📍 50ª MOSTRA SP | SESSÕES 📅 21/10, 17h — Cine Tutu 📅 22/10, 16h — IMS Paulista 🎟️ Programação e ingressos: mostra.org #FractaisTropicais #LeonardoPirondi #IvoMuller #MostraSP #CinemaBrasileiro #CinemaNacional #FiccaoCientifica

Olha a sala lotada no @icalondon antes do filme começar. Fila pra ver o filme no ICA London. Obrigado 🙏❤️ Primeira vez no @bfilff . ⭐️🇧🇷

Fractais Tropicais [Tropical Fractals] | 50D, 250D, 200T, 500T, and Double-X 16mm “Shooting on film, especially 16mm, has been a fundamental part of my practice as a filmmaker. Celluloid is capable of capturing the essence of the worlds I seek to create, precisely because it is subject to environmental influences and imperfections such as hairs, dust, and dirt—elements that bridge fictional worlds with reality. In Tropical Fractals, a film that reflects on humanity’s fixation with archives, memory, and the flawed representation of the natural world, I wanted these imperfections to coexist with reality. In a time where science fiction films seem increasingly artificial and dominated by CGI, celluloid has been, more than ever, the perfect tool to anchor the audience in the post-apocalyptic environment of a ruined Earth and a decaying spaceship—full of erosion, dirt, and wear and tear.” - Leonardo Pirondi The film premieres on October 12 at BFI London followed by an L.A. screening at REDCAT on October 14th. TROPICAL FRACTALS continues to travel the world and find more stops along its journey! Today, we are very excited to announce that it will land at the 70th BFI London Film Festival (@britishfilminstitute), alongside an incredibly diverse and thrilling selection celebrating this anniversary edition. The BFI London is a very special festival to me, since it was one of the first festivals that invited my short film Visão do Paraíso—a debut short-film of sorts—which helped pave the way for a sequence of life-changing things in my career. It feels very special to return to the festival with yet another debut, but this time into the feature-film world! The film will be part of the Experimenta strand and it screens on October 12th, 2026, at 18:40, in the Institute of Contemporary Arts (@icalondon). More exciting news about the film coming soon! 🚀🌱 FRACTAIS TROPICAIS (Tropical Fractals) continues to travel the world and find more stops along its journey! Gostei.
