I graduated college!!🐯

This past Friday, I graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism after 4 years that turned out better than I could have imagined. I was surrounded by my best friends, my parents, my supportive classmates and my great professors.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities this school gave me, both within the journalism school and outside of it. At the root of Mizzou’s spirit is my passionate, fun-loving, ambitious peers who cheered each other on loudly. They are the reason Columbia, Missouri felt like home the second I stepped foot on this campus.

I’ll miss the little things, from late nights in the newsroom, frantic breaking news live shots, inspiring guest speakers, hours trying to figure out how to make an adobe project look the way I wanted, and even the trial-and-error of every journalism track (yes, I even went through a strat comm phase). I’ll definitely miss the weekly growth at @komunews and every class discussion that pushed me to question and think bigger.

Thank you also to my family, and every single mentor, professor or person I ever networked with (many of you being Mizzou alum!). I would not be where I am today without your guidance. Now that I’m a part of the #mizzoumafia, I hope to give back in the same way!

I always had an inkling this would be a special place, but I couldn’t have dreamed of an experience like this if I tried. I am so proud and grateful to be a Mizzou alum 💛🖤
