11 of my favorite humans and I went on a cruise and somehow we behaved… but let’s be real: it was by the grace of God, good food, and bottomless drinks. Between the inside jokes, Cee Shaw Muwwakkil, cackling 😜 the Houdini-level disappearing acts, and the buffet trips, we lived our BEST, most unfiltered lives.

Huge shout-out to my liver, because that poor organ went through a spiritual battle. Unlimited drinks? 🍸I was basically a walking vodka tonic. At one point I swear I sneezed and smelled Grey Goose.

And the casino? Let’s just say I “donated” enough money that they already gave me a huge discount on the next cruise and there may or may not be a gift basket on my porch when I return home. Thank God my mortgage cleared, because I was one bad decision away from calling HR about a payday advance.

Thank you to my friends for showing up, showing out, and fully committing to absolute chaos. You are the best and made me feel special at every turn. I even got choked up a few times.. but yall know me, I’m no punk. 👀

This cruise owes me nothing… except maybe therapy, a new liver, and a refund from that damn casino. 🍹🤣🔥🚢

[running on CP time so excuse the tardiness of this being posted on the “Fifth of July”. brevity isn’t my strong suit so let’s do this in three sentences >. ]

What better way to invert & mock the hypocrisy of “Independence Day” for Black people in America? Do a 1/3 thread recap of the best way we kickstarted Juneteenth Vol. 3 in Chocolate City just 3 weeks ago. Since “the 4th of July” is “JUNETEENTH PART 2” anyway, it’s only right to begin with honoring the magic & demystifying triumph of Black people in America all this time. Since 1619 and beyond. So what’s really the significance of 1776 for a Black person in America? 🖤✊🏽🤎
