Week 1. First long run of the summer training cycle, with Fleet Feet Performance. Good company. Beautiful weather, and nice headwind going South. Got toasty the last few miles. Many familiar flybys up and down the lakeshore path. Legs were tired, but it was good to move. 14.2 miles for the morning. Let’s gooooo!

What a freaking weekend. Cannot believe I get to say this. I am a Boston Marathoner. The miles I put into this block. The commitment I made to myself to go after a goal. The friends on @fleetfeetracingteamchicago who pushed me every Wednesday night. The family who support me in this crazy life I get to live. Many moments during this race I wanted to stop. The legs feel apart at mile 10. But I stuck with it. Dug deep. Pulled from my IM experience. And compartmentalized the pain. I’m so proud of myself for gritting this thing out. And proving to myself I can do this. To everyone I’ve run with this winter. This one’s for you. I will continue this journey. No matter what gets in my way because the game ain’t finished until I’m back in Boston to chase that unicorn one more time. Long run FTW. 20 hilly miles with @fleetfeettrainingchicago. First time running in Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve. Scenic gravel trail, sunny AF, and 1,522 feet in elevation gain, mostly from the (9) hill repeats on Big Bertha (1.2-mile loops). Felt strong going uphill. Runny nose most of the run. Wore shorts, but should have worn pants. Great vibes. Grateful for this run fam.

Third marathon (@chimarathon) in 41 days. Sydney, 🇦🇺 and Berlin, 🇩🇪 before that. Different continents. Different hemispheres. I took on a bit too much, but my main goal was to finish all three injury free. I did. The photo roll here is to acknowledge all the people that played a part in making 2025 a success.
