Derryck @bigtankmusic Thornton spent time researching the perfect playlist to capture the reimagining of the late-80s to early ‘90s sitcom. Unlike the original series’ legendary celebrity appearances from the likes of Heavy D and Gladys Knight, the new iteration is scored with music by @summerwalker, @kwnway, @trapdickey, @bossman_dlow, @babyrosemusic and more — music that today's college students are likely to listen today. Head to the link in bio to read the interview.

This one is for the dance moms who will forever be our biggest cheerleaders. The ones who scream on the sides and never miss a moment. 🥲 #dancemoms #hbcudance #spelhousehomecoming @mahoganynmotion @morehouseband

It’s Homecoming at “the House!!” I haven’t been able to attend since my Band Director Days (a looong time ago!!)… but I’m thankful for the many lives I’ve lived since first setting foot on this prestigious institution’s campus. I owe a lot to my alma mater that I could only have gotten from attending an HBCU! Here are a few shots and videos from my student years to my Band Director Days to my time as a professor which marks nearly 20 years of service. 😅😅. Happy Homecoming to the Spelhouse family from the other side of the world!!

And special S/O to my colleagues (past and present) and the thousand or so students I’ve been blessed to work with! #GoodTimes #Homecoming #HBCUPride #Morehouse #Spelhouse (Rain don’t stop the House!!)
