The Real Inspector Hound opens in one week! Written by Tom Stoppard Directed by Reba Askari October 23-November 1 Russell Hall, USM Gorham Campus Feuding theatre critics Moon and Birdboot are swept into the whodunit they’re reviewing in this hilarious spoof of Agatha Christie-esque melodrama. In the wild proceedings that follow, the body count rises, reality and make-believe blur, and no one is quite who they say they are. As mists rise around the isolated Muldoon Manor, Moon and Birdboot become ludicrously entertwined in the murderous rampage of an escaped madman. From sketch, to mock-ups, to final fittings, to the final look, I had such a blast working with Miss Teen Maine Sadie Coffey to design and custom build this blueberry inspired state costume for Maine! I am so thrilled to get to represent the state of Maine in this way and everyone needs to cheer on Sadie at the Miss Teen USA pageant in Miami this week! This really was a dream project!

10 days off the grid is just what the doctor ordered! As someone who majorly struggles to unplug, cruising is the best way I’ve found to force the devices to go away and be present in the moment. An awesome getaway to relax, unwind, recharge, and get too much sun. Excited to tackle a busy and creative summer starting in a few weeks!

Spring Semester 2026 is just about to wrap and we have one more student highlight we wanted to share! If you’ve seen The Thanksgiving Play, The Winter’s Tale, The Women Who Mapped the Stars Touring Edition, The War of the Worlds Radio Play, The Birds, John Proctor is the Villain, A Monster Calls, or All in the Timing, you’ve seen Emma Graffam’s talent in action. Behind the scenes, if you’ve perused our show programs or explored our show program websites, you can thank Emma. And, she probably welcomed you as Front of House staff if you came to see a show here. She has shone on stage and behind the scenes and we are so excited to see where all her talent takes her. Help us support students like Emma so they can shine in whatever theatre path they choose! Donate today at: https://www.givecampus.com/campaigns/52365/donations/new?a=8595941
