Hey eagles! You still have time to donate! Only way to receive all 10 community service hours is to donate, show up to our packing event and drop off donation bags to the 2 schools with us! More details about that coming soon!

If you donate in the honors suite ask Ms Eaton for a raffle ticket!

Dear UHP Family,

I hope your first week of classes went well. The opportunities are pouring in, so please start taking a close look at this e-blast (IN YOUR EMAIL ON A COMPUTER 😇), open the attachments, scroll the pdf, click the links, do all the things. Remember, by attending the activities listed in this e-blast (along with comparable activities within your departments and across campus), you can earn your eight (8) Professional Development (PD) points.

This past week I found a video on Instagram from @kelechicareer with tips for the spring semester. CLICK HERE to learn his three tips for starting the semester off strong. He has a full series of college success tips to help you be your best.

ACTION ITEMS:

· REGISTER HERE for the UHP Spring Retreat taking place on Sunday, January 25, 202, from 1 – 5:30 p.m. Dr. Roderick Heath will be returning with more team building and fun, and we have two amazing NCCU alum, co-founders of Sneakerhead University joining us for a fireside chat. We are aware of a potential winter weather system impacting this area over the weekend, so we will keep an eye on developments and provide updates by Friday morning.

· COMPLETE THE SENIOR EXIT SURVEY HERE! If you are graduating in May 2026, please send me an email AND complete the senior exit survey so I can be sure you’ve met all program requirements.

· HONORS CONTRACTS: If you want to earn honors course credits this semester in a non-honors course, remember that you can ask a professor to complete an honors contract where you work together to create an enhanced honors experience. The honors contract should be emailed back to honors@nccu.edu by the end of this week.

Let’s get it, UHP!

Dr. J
