That feeling when you find your own poetry while browsing the poetry section at @valleybookstore in Jackson Hole. 😌 Thanks to Granite Journal, @dalypoetry @teaobreht and @tumbleweedcreativearts for making it happen. Swipe for pics of our final day of adventure in Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. It was a brief getaway, but needed. Despite my increasingly severe agoraphobia and panic attacks, I still head an amazing time with my loved ones. The beauty didn’t stop as we drove east, back over the Continental Divide and across our Wyoming grasslands to my home in northeast rugged edge of Wyoming. Just before home, we got to enjoy three bull elk wandering the Thunder Basin National Grassland, their antlers blood-soaked as their velvet sloughed off. They disappeared into the sunset like luminous wild ghosts, and a piece of myself went with them I think. Lastly, when we arrived home. A tiny black kitten had taken up residence in our garage. So, Story ended her latest Teton adventure with a new surprise kitten waiting for her at home. Gigi is already madly in love with her new owner. Thanks for all the recent comments! I’ll catch up today! #nicholastrandahl #wyoming #poetry #poetrycommunity #adventure

.................PT 1 video recap of 2023!! I want to this time to thank everyone who has purchased a print, commissioned a mural, purchased a hat/shirt and/or painting this year. Just to be transparent this has been the most challenging year ive had in terms of my personal life but my projects kept me inspired to keep pushing. Ive had a blessed year in my career as a painter. I felt encouraged to not give up despite the various obstacles facing me this year. I had the support to channel that energy into the work with the mission to inspire others to do the same. Thank you for another year allowing me to contribute something positive back into the world! I want to thank my CAN Family, friends, family, ig family ,collectors ,clients and partners this year for allowing me be myself this year. The hard work keeps going for 2024! #dkaneart #popart #seeingshapes #abstractart #abstractpainting #painting #abstract #thingswedo #thingswesee #bwphotography #contemporaryart #fineart #streetphotography #blackandwhite #blackandwhiteart #muralist #muralproject #artmagazine #abstractmag #contemporarypainting #contemporaryartsnetwork

Moments: Projected on a corner store located in my hometown a block from a pivotal landmark in my childhood, “And Then Some” conveys abstract expressions that reinterpret multiple ever-winding narratives anchored by conviction, resilience, and endurance. Grateful to have been updated and equipped during my research trips back home with direct accounts of how the community has been affected due to various social and economic factors over the years. As a means to continue to preserve oral tradition and represent overlooked dynamics in my work, some of those accounts actually inspired the mural in real time during the project. Much love to the store clerks for all the snacks and the homies for holding it down during the late night sessions. ————— “And Then Some” (2023) was organized and supported by @morethan_art in conjunction with my solo exhibition at @1708gallery. Appreciate all the family, friends, and community that pulled up to the reveal. Documented by my brother @king_kg. Location: 1321 Mechanicsville Tpke Richmond, VA “Many Moons” on view at @1708gallery October 20 - December 10 Curator: @rosxtta Artist Talk: Nov 10/7-8p Interactive Art Performance: Nov 11/1-3p Details for both can be found via the link in my profile.
