Visual and auditory reaction/feeding drill. Player responds from blind position to finding ball on coaches call. Cutters begin their cut and call for ball as feeder is turning towards field.
Their pattern is predetermined but not known to feeder. Feeder needs to get around with hands and feet in a position for an on the money dish when they hear the cutters call for ball.
Effective variations:
*more chaotic gb from coach
*cutters from more/different spots
*add pressure /defenders
*allow feeder to drive to cage in certain constraints
*make it a live 3v3, 4v4, 5v5…. Gal up gal down….

This was an early summer drill progression for us. Lots of GBs cuz why the heck not, stick work and communication with new teammates, making space with zero pressure just to get our footwork back, find a corner. #lacrossetraining #lacrosse #femaleathletes

True agility drills
1-Find it-Shoot it. Respond quickly and accurately to a visual /verbal cue of “ball”, find it and shoot quick with a corner placement.
2- Find it-Feed it. True agility again - and again. Here 4 attackers hold in wings and call for ball in an order unknown to feeder. She has to find ball, then find player. Challenge agility more with greater variety in placement of ground ball and movement required to get there.

High ball wraps all day long. Missed our goalie and a decent net but we checked the high reps hard work box in this progression. #lacrossedrills #lacrosse #sportsperformance #lacrossetraining #outworking
