The final part to my first Hyrox dry run.
Please believe I definitely soaked in the tub for an hour after this.

This practice run was perfect for my coach and myself to see what I need to work on.

1. My recovery- being able to go from one workout to jogging immediately after
2. My burpees- cause they are a fkn mess

Ill keep yall informed on how it’s going 🤪 send me your positive vibes 🫶🏾

Day 1: July 4th

This is just a piece of what Day 1 brought. Part 2 of Day 1 will be posted tomorrow… but if you follow me on TikTok it’ll be posted tonight over there.

Part 1 | Just for some context I’m 39 years old, a mom of 2, workout 4-6 times a week, and I’m a fitness trainer.
I’m not super lean, very much have a body of a woman who has been through life.
I’m a Pescatarian/Vegetarian (I just started introducing chicken back into my life) and I occasionally will eat an entire container of Whole Foods chocolate chip cookies.
With that being said... yes... I still have willingly chose to take the Hyrox on. #hyroxtraining #fitnessmotivation

Back day in the books.

When you do the back relax pose, think of opening those lats horizontally rather than flipping the delts or arms forward. Think of how a 🦚open its feathers.

I have incorporated movements from @brandenmray to stretch my upper and lower lats so that I can connect with the feeling of opening up my lats. Most people train back to squeeze the muscles but we seldom learn how to open those wings.

Try these two movements and focus on the stretch rather than the squeeze.

One way we fix @morgan7551 ‘s tendency to use his arms in back movements is to focus on the speed of the movement. if you realize that you can move the weights real quick, it is usually because you activate your arms first.
