This week’s Syllabus was all about what artistry is really worth and to whom. Comment “gatekept” and I’ll send it straight to you.

We have a complicated relationship with the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show for sure…perhaps Stockholm? No matter the implications, I have nothing straight to say on the matter.

McQueen’s creative director is out this week and so is Calvin Klein’s. More on McQueen in the Further Study section.

We’ve been optimizing online shopping for so long now, it can be difficult to remember having a pleasant interaction with a salesperson. @whatnot predicts we’re now trending in the opposite direction and rediscovering the appeal of a person who can answer our questions and show us cool, new things.

Inside the Syllabus:

• The Fashion Intelligence Brief -Kering’s creative clean-out, the looting of France, Calvin Klein saying goodbye to Veronica Leoni, and the $50 million fantasy bra.

• Further Study - McQueen and what a fashion house owes to it’s original designer

• Style Archeology - a $7 Rhode dupe, first access to 100 vintage bridal pieces hand selected by a vintage dealer who works on @thevowfoxnation set, and my discovery at @morgans.pharmacy.

For everyone that sees a headline and needs the fashion history behind it. Comment “gatekept” and read it in your DMs.
