Morgan Meyer, Emory 27L, spent the summer interning for Orleans Public Defenders.

"This was a really incredible summer experience, and it's taught me what being a public defender is like in a more concrete way," she shared. "I have been passionate about public defense since I was a teenager and it was my motivation to come to law school, but I would never have been able to work at a PD office without the support of the EPIC Grant because most are unpaid. The grant and the Stevens Fellowship money enabled me to learn to become a better student and future lawyer by allowing me to focus on legal work instead of a second job."

Thank you to our donors and sponsors for making the EPIC Grant possible and for supporting students pursuing public interest careers. Stay tuned for more information about this year's grant application!
