17 years later.

It’s hard to put into words what softball has meant to me because for so long, it was my entire life. This game gave me so much more than memories on the field — it gave me lifelong friendships, lessons that shaped me, and a place that always felt like home.

Softball was also always something special between me and my dad. Some of my favorite memories with him came from this game, and every time I stepped onto the field, I knew he was watching over me. That’s what makes this goodbye so emotional.

Thank you to Brad Downes, Ronnie Holtorf, Becky Lemke, and BJ for believing in me, pushing me, and helping shape me into the person I am today. I’ll never be able to thank you enough.

But this isn’t really goodbye to the game I love — it’s just time for me to step into a new role.
