“A deeper look at the role of tough guy culture, cyclical trauma, and what healing later in life may look like.” The @bucksharborfilm team is thrilled for this review by Monica Castillo for RogerEbert.com. The @truefalsefilmfest was packed with incredible documentary films and we are honored to be highlighted among them.

i don’t know but responding to your baby every time they cry feels like common sense to us because honoring that primal part of ourselves is how we heal the world.

and we mean that in a way that goes so much deeper than sleep.

every time a woman has the courage to trust herself instead of abandoning herself, something ancient gets repaired. every time she listens to the voice in her body over the noise of a culture obsessed with conditioning women out of their power, something changes.

because this was never just about babies sleeping independently.

it is about whether women feel safe enough to remain connected to themselves in a world that benefits from their disconnection.

once you realize that anything asking you to override your deepest knowing is not worthy of your obedience… you stop living disconnected from your own soul.

& it is there that we break the cycle. where the nervous systems of the next generation get to write a different story because of our courage.

happy Mother’s Day mamas. there is nothing more powerful than you x
