Mortimer
@mortimeramsterdam is a tidy little spot, just off the main strip of Amsterdam.
Its a small shop, with a upstairs, a real welcoming and cosy vibe, asthectically pleasing to the eye.
A little more quiet to the other breakfast/brunch spots.
Lets Eat!
- Scrambled Eggs On Toast + Bacon
Soft running but firm scrambled eggs, on thick toasted brioche bread, topped with rocket, parmesan & young garlic oil.
This came looking like it was out of a michlen star restuarant.
The presentation was exceptional, bacon even came on a side plate.
Freshest ingredients even foraging for the garlic.
Amazing, this is how i like my eggs in the morning!
8.75/10
Service 8/10
Presentation 10/10

Overall 8.8/10

Bu arada, kendime hep hatirlatirim;

yolculugun kendisi guzel, tadini cikar.
Tipki hayat gibi.
O zaman olabildigince anda kalabiliyoruz.

"Between life and death there is a library,’ she said. ‘And within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices... Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?"

THE STANDARD IN AMSTERDAM.

We didn’t include Mortimer because the food looks good on Instagram. Plenty of places clear that bar.

We included them because when we looked into how they actually source, it held up. They publish their suppliers openly, name by name, and they source organic and local because that’s the standard, not because it sells.

If you’re in Amsterdam and you actually read the label, this is where you go. The standard you keep at home, you keep at Mortimer.

🛶 Atrakcje: Godzinny rejs statkiem.
🚆 Zakończenie dnia: Wieczorna podróż pociągiem prosto do Hagi.
