Our Theme – Eco-Friendly Shaniwar Wada, Pune शनिवार वाडा 🚩
Our Mother Earth is Our Treasure – Save Earth, Save Life. 😇
This year, we decided to make our Ganpati Bappa decoration in an eco-friendly way. We used old cardboard boxes, wooden sticks to create our own Shaniwar Wada. No plastic and no POP were used, and even Bappa’s idol is made from eco-friendly Shadu Mati.
For us, Ganeshotsav is not only about worship and celebrations, but also about spreading a message of love and responsibility towards nature and togetherness. we wanted to show that with a little creativity, waste can be turned into something beautiful without harming our Mother Earth.
When I look at Bappa, my simple wish is that He keeps happiness and peace in our homes, gives us the strength to face every challenge and the wisdom to make better choices for ourselves and for nature. I hope the blessings of Ganesha remind us that protecting our surroundings is also a form of gratitude for the life we have been given.
The festival is about togetherness and blessings, and I believe we should celebrate it in a way that respects our environment and sets a good example for the future.
May we develop a fear from God and love for Green so that we think a million times before destroying nature and learn to love and protect trees from the day we plant them.
When GREEN survives, WE survive too.
Bola Ganpati Bappa Morya! Save Nature, Save Life.

This is my eco-friendly Ganesha, whom I craft and decorate with great love every year. Just like every year, this is my 'Bappa' for this occasion—created with the same love and faith. I worship Him with deep devotion; and since He is eco-friendly, I perform the immersion right here at home with great fanfare, without polluting any rivers or harming the environment.

#myganeshathome Our dearest Ganesh Chaturthi memories are etched in the sweet warmth of our bustling family kitchen, where flour-dusted hands and shared laughter bring every festive recipe to life. This year felt especially magical as three generations gathered around the table to shape steaming, fragrant Ukadiche Modaks and golden ladoos from scratch, completely skipping store-bought boxes for a sustainable, zero-waste celebration. With sticky fingers, playful banter, and my grandmother patiently passing down her secret proportions for the jaggery and coconut filling, the kitchen transformed into a sacred space of connection—proving that the best part of Bappa’s festival is the love we stir into every sweet moment together.
This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi was uniquely special for our family as we beautifully harmonised age-old traditions with deep environmental consciousness. Moving away from commercial celebrations, we hand-sculpted our own eco-friendly Shadu Mati (clay) idol embedded with plant seeds, surrounding Him with zero-waste decorations made of fresh marigolds and upcycled silk sarees. @chandrikadesai1234 @hirenpdesai @sheildesai15priv #greenganpatichallenge

I celebrate Ganpati with a heart full of devotion while keeping Mother Nature in my prayers too. 🌿🙏 I choose a natural clay idol that returns to the earth and water without leaving harmful waste behind. 🌊✨ My decorations are made with fresh flowers, banana leaves, and other natural materials instead of plastic. 🌸🍃 I light beautiful diyas and use reusable lights to keep the celebration simple and sustainable. 🪔💫 My offerings are fresh, organic, and thoughtfully prepared so that nothing goes to waste. 🍎🌺 For me, welcoming Ganpati is not only about following tradition—it is also about protecting the beautiful nature that surrounds us. 🌍💚 Ganpati Bappa Morya! 🙏🐘
