im•permanence BTS

A 6 month process.

I was brought on about a month into rehearsals and conceptualization. Originally the film was intended to be a one take.

I had shot a few dance projects before but nothing on this scale. I had to call upon all of my resources and collaborators to help me with this and I couldn’t have done it without them. They are my family.

I loved working with these dancers. Emotionally resonant individuals who always knew how to keep things light and fun. I can be a bit intense and passionate at times and everyone was down to go the extra mile to make things the best they could be in our given circumstances.

I watch the film now and see it as a time capsule for so many thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Good and bad. Thanks to all who contributed and I hope it can resonate with you in some way🙏

As a parent you always want to do what’s right for your child, we never truly know what’s going to work or if it’s the right decision all we can do is pray for the best and help guide them away from the same mistakes that we made. I am so damn proud of you son, I know you are going to kill it out there and be the best version of yourself, I know I stay emotionless a lot but it was very hard to let you go this morning to start your new journey. You have a whole village that has your back so give it your all and know that we love you and know that I am always here for you wanting the best for you. I love you my son nothing but Gods blessings upon you.
