Happy #finishedobjectfriday 🎉 I would’ve posted this sooner, but disaster STRUCK (more in the captions in the other photos, not clickbait). This is my first test knit ever and I was lucky to test knit the “Moss in the Clouds” top by @moshimo.knit ! I loved this pattern and I thought it is so well thought out and leaves plenty of room for mods and hacks and creative interpretations 🥰

I based my knit on the nudibranch, Ardeadoris averni, and I modified the top pattern by doing the following:
🪸 no button band, I used hooks and eyelets instead
🪸 extending the ruffle up the button band
🪸 adding ruffles to all visible hems (triple digit stitch bind off, y’all 😵‍💫)
🪸 i-cord bind off on all visible hems with my cordsmith I got from @thespinnacle a while back (a lifesaver tbh)
🪸 leaving the keyhole side hem on the left side of the garment

I used @dropsdesign Kid-Silk and @leo.and.roxy.yarn.co Mohair silk and I CANNOT UNDERSTATE how good these fibres were for my predicament. Had to literally boil this garment and there was NO 👏 FELTING! Swipe on for the tea on this garment 🥹

The inspiration! We are both super cute, love tide pools, and can be occasionally found in the Philippines 🇵🇭

All the yarn from project came from @baaadannas btw! I loved the quality of the silk and mohair I got, and there was no shedding at all 🙂‍↔️

Action shot of my garment on me 🥰 in front of the big crab 🦀

This is me trying to figure out the fit of the garment at the beginning! I had never done a raglan before, but the pattern @moshimo.knit wrote was really easy to navigate and I nailed the sizing. I had double stranded everything and met gauge perfectly 😮‍💨

Perfection 😤 I-cord bind off was the exact technique I needed to copy my nudibranch 🧡

Almost done! This is a progress shot I took on my lunch break. Just the sleeves to go 😮‍💨

Part of the picture set I had sent for the test knit deadline. I had put in the hooks, but not the eyelets. Was sooooOoOoO happy until…

DISASTER STRUCK! I accidentally left my garment to wet block for too long and experienced colour bleed like no other 🥹🥹🥹 it’s not the dye
