Enhancing the Student Experience 🐻

Aligning with Missouri State University’s strategic plan, Igniting Opportunity, the Office of Student Engagement hosted our Annual Fall Retreat, reinforcing our shared vision of Enhancing the Student Experience at MoState.

Throughout the retreat, our team engaged in goal setting, reviewed the 2025–2026 OSE Annual Report, completed a SOAR Analysis and True Colors Personality Assessments, and revisited our office goals, expectations, and priorities for the year ahead.
We started the morning with yoga and concluded with individual training as we welcomed 6 new graduate assistants and 9 new student specialists to the OSE team!

As we move into MoState’s first Week of Welcome, I’m excited about where this team is headed. We’re ready to welcome new and returning Bears, create meaningful connections, and continue Enhancing the Student Experience across campus.

Here’s to a great year of Igniting Opportunity and creating experiences that help every Bear feel connected, engaged, and at home at Missouri State. 🐻

Over the weekend, our Centennial Leader Scholars attended the Circle of Change First-Gen Career & Leadership Conference in Miami, FL 🌴.
They connected with leaders from Netflix, CBS, the Miami Heat, Wall Street, and more gaining insight, building networks, and aligning their goals with real-world opportunities.

Moments like this remind us: we’re building leaders for tomorrow. ✨ #CentennialLeaders #FirstGenSuccess #FutureLeaders
