Love these side-by-sides people have been making of “The Muppet Show” in 1977 and the recent special. A lot of detailed research and care was taken across many departments to recreate the original sets, scale, and lensing but update it for 16:9 and find opportunities throughout the special to nod to the first series in ways that felt fresh but familiar. #jimhenson #legacy #muppets

Any time I get to play with/for the Muppets is truly mind blowing. I got to be in the audience for the special and it was incredible- although there were to grumpy old guys who kept popping off. Not much security.
Big congrats to Leigh, Michael, Dani, Frank, Alex and the rest of the Muppets Studio! Great work to Matt, Eric and all the performers for making this happen! Big thanks to Kelly Younger @kellytheyounger - incredible writing and encouragement! What an incredible thing the world needs right now! More Muppets, please!

The best part of working on “The Muppet Show” were the incredible creatives behind the scenes.

From Point Grey (McAtee, Weaver, Seth, Evan, Madeline) to Muppet Studios (Michael, Dani, Leigh) to our brilliant and hilarious and kind creative leader Albertina Rizzo and the gifted Muppet performer / producer / LEGENDS Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobsen -- all were so welcoming and I learned so much from them.

An honor to collaborate with DP Rhet Bear, producers Ryan Janata and Dave Neglia, and the best directing team: Roger Udwin, Kelly Jensen, Carly Romberg, and Sunday Smith -- and to be reunited with Editor Kelly Lyon who cut “John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous” and “Baby J” and “Alex Edelman: Just For Us”. She’s the best.

And to the New Yorkers who brought a little bit of Broadway to the Fox lot, big gratitude to Derek McLane, Chris Gattelli, Max Clayton, and Bill Sherman.

Last September, I was gifted the fun opportunity and luck to get to play with the Muppets on the Fox lot for a couple of days, thanks to the amazing @mosteinbach who has been working for years to bring this show back to our televisions! He did it 🙌🏻 and it’s so great! It is everything you remember the Muppets to be and more! The team of puppeteers on set were phenomenal and I am so glad I got to meet so many talented artists!

The muppet next to me (thanks to @puppettim who also heads up the muppet workshop and creates some of these fabulous creatures!) we nicknamed “Mr. Mustachio” for the two days and had so much fun! The little child in me was sooooooo excited to be behind the scenes and get to see in-person these legends in action!

Please check out The Muppet Show on Disney+. Stream it multiple times if you can - it would be amazing if they pick it up to a full series order! I think we all can use the light and joy the Muppets bring us. Art is always healing. And Muppet love is universal.
