Nissan Stanza Wagon (W/ our friend, Sonic the Hedgehog from Sonic Boom)

—————————

Unbelievably unexpected not just an ordinary 📦 for #streetviewsaturday.

—————————

Yes that’s right, I never expected around last month I was doing some street view in Mexico in 2009 and saw THIS: The Nissan Stanza Wagon even @mostlystreetparked owns one of these in white! The production went through 1982-1992 when it was then discontinued being replaced by the Nissan Altima. And it came with Coupe, Sedan, Hatchback, and extremely rarely the Wagon/MPV. Originally called Praire in Japan and in Canada called Multi made through 1982-1988. The engine runs on a 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0L Inline 4 and a 5 speed manual. However a 3 and 4 speed automatic is also available. And in my opinion, I’m still surprised I spotted this, and not only that but its even got Mexico plates! Hopefully it’s still kept, like I am really hoping they still have it to this day despite its a history vehichle. 🙏🏽

250+ iconic Japanese cars at @japaneseclassiccarshow and this is the one that stood out to Dylan.

This one was off the cuff, just straight ball knowledge from the wizard himself. Did you know about the Geo Metro or was this new to you?

If you’re into niche cars like this, check him out at @mostlystreetparked

Mercedes 190D 2.2.
The W201 is perhaps one of my favorite cars in the classic compact sedan segment. Classic compact sedans usually look proportionally squished. The rear doors of many compact sedans from before the 2000s appear to simply be there to fulfill a requirement. The W201 is proportionally correct and visually pleasing to me. Nonetheless, I still believe all classic sedans should be appreciated because there are simply too many coupes around.
This particular W201 is an extremely rare 2.2 Diesel model, at least for the US and my carspotting experience of over 11 years. The W201 most commonly came in 2.3 and 2.6 gasoline versions in my experience.

Buick Apollo.
The Buick Apollo is the extremely rare Buick version of the Chevrolet Nova. While the Chevrolet Nova from this era is still very common and I have almost stopped photographing them unless it's a sedan (rare today) or in exceptionally good condition, this is the first Buick Apollo I've ever seen in person. There were also Pontiacs built from this body for example the Ventura and GTO. Those are also rare but far more common than the Buick Apollo.

1993 Geo Storm.
Owner @mostlystreetparked

The Storm was a rebadged 2nd generation Isuzu Impulse, produced from 1990-1993. These didn’t have the features that its sibling had, like a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and Lotus-tuned suspension. It came in two body styles: a 3-door liftback and a 3-door hatchback, a.k.a wagonback. The sales of the Storm were much stronger than the Impulse. However, when the Impulse was discontinued due to slow sales and the effects of Japan’s Bubble Economy collapse, the Storm came down with it. Since they were economy cars, they were treated as such, and now they are extremely rare today, especially those wagonback models. This example is owned by Dylan from @mostlystreetparked. I had the chance to meet him, and it was a super awesome experience!
