A poem written by a friend, transformed into a wedding veil.

For her wedding to Collins in Kefalonia, Bee chose a personalised two-tier ribbon-edge wedding veil with the poem embroidered in black across the tulle, almost as if they were inked in handwriting directly onto her veil. She wanted those words to become part of the wedding itself and a key feature of her bridal styling.

The stylised ribbon edge framed the flowing script beautifully, allowing the poem to remain the focus.

Some beautiful portraits of our lovely couples, it’s so important to take a few moments of just the two of you as newlyweds to let it all sink in. You’re spoiled for choice on locations here at Barns & Yard - the classic bridge shot, through our woodland, golden hour in the fields, on our island, alongside the lake and in amongst the wildflowers to list just a few! Where is your favourite spot?

We love a drone shot and these by @mosu.studio from R&T’s wonderful wedding are no exception! They really capture how our barns and grounds are perfectly positioned in the Worcestershire countryside with views of the majestic Malvern Hills. With the crazy hot summer the land around is parched but our lakeside setting is like a little oasis of green and tranquility. The hazy summer sunshine only adds to the dreamy, romance of the surroundings.

But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what R&T had to say: “Barns & Yard is even more beautiful than it appears on pictures. It is the most stunning venue, with so many well-thought out spaces. Lisi, Kate and the B&Y team are incredible. From the very first meeting L&K made us feel so welcome, and had a genuine passion and care for our day. The planning meeting was so helpful, and L&K were amazing at suggesting ideas from their own experiences, whilst allowing us to maintain individuality over our day. Thank you so very much for making our wedding so special. We can’t recommend B&Y enough!”

We still have a handful of summer dates available for next year if you’re looking for a dreamy lakeside wedding and beautiful barns to celebrate in. With our Open Day happening on Sunday it’s the perfect opportunity to visit and explore so follow the link in our bio to register for your free tickets. #barnsandyardweddingvenue #worcestershireweddingvenue #barnwedding #barnsandyard #malvernhills

Some of my favourite photographs of personalised wedding veils are the moments when someone notices the embroidery and stops to admire it.

Bee’s poem veil created those moments throughout her Kefalonia wedding, as her bridal party, father, guests and Collins discovered the words stitched across the tulle.

She wanted the poem to become part of the day, and these reactions show exactly how it did.

A moment for the dress! We love seeing all our brides dresses, it’s such a special moment to finally wear a piece so meaningful on such a special day. This one however blew us away so we thought we’d share its incredible detailing and beauty. The vibrant colour and stunning adornments were just breathtaking and we think you’ll agree that our bride Riddhi looked sensational. beautifully captured by @mosu.studio ❤️ #barnsandyardwedding #barnsandyard #worcestershireweddingvenue #weddingdress
