Mostly ferrous wares crafted in Indiana

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hey Y'all, this is a general write up mostly for the new folks about what to expect at the 2024 Gathering.

Location:

Reynlow Park

Reynoldsville Pennsylvania

https://maps.app.goo.gl/dWbExs214G45N4oE7

Dates:

Thursday May 16-17-18-19 Sunday

Vendors, Demonstraters, Class Instructors are welcome to setup a day early on Wednesday the 15th.

Everyone check in at the gate when you arrive.

The event officially starts on Thursday morning the 16th.

We are adding a MAJOR addition this year which we will call "Cool School" 17 classes, 6 different missions, 3 Forged in Fire champion instructors.

Bandsaw Damascus, CuMai, RR spike knife, Doghead hammer, Cable Damascus, Knife grinding 101.

We will have the biggest vendors in the industry on site to supply everything you need. Holland Anvil, New Jersey Steel Baron, Fiery Furnace Forge with Benchmark Abrasives supplying cutting n' grinding.

The main forging area will be in & around Pavilion 1. Forgers are welcome and encouraged to bring their own work station to use.

If you do not yet have a forge and anvil or experience, no worries, we will have work stations setup & everything you need. Simply purchase a "Full Forge Pass" when you arrive and use the $35,000 in tools and equipment I setup including a Clark Iron 40 ton press, Coal Iron 25Tton press with digital controller, Coal 12 ton, the huge ribbon burner "Beast Forge" 600# Anvils, Coal forges, Induction and much more !

High level Instructors are here to help you with your projects day & night.

Night forging starts at 9pm 💥

You do not want to miss this night forging action ! All the forges, music, get cranked Full Power and full send mode is engaged.

This is the best time when the real magic happens.

The energy in the main forging area with 20-30 plus people working at the same time is incredible. 💥 🔥 💥

Power down at around 230am this year for safety and improved day time productivity.

As always we will have a diverse group of new & experienced blacksmiths & bladesmiths, iron smelters, vintage & new tool dealers & visitors.

Their will be a VERY impressive amount of new and vintage tools to buy so be ready.

I highly recommend

Quadstate 2022 with the guild is definitely for the books! In addition, I met this fine group from SIU Carbondale which definitely made this year’s trip truly an unforgettable one! To meetings friends of old and new, I also got some goodies and got to play with the @coalitonworks forging press like I do every year! Thank you for making it awesome!
*Also creds to @rigoni_ironworks for shooting some of the squishing action*!

A very simple explanation of how we build our custom 50 ton presses… 😉🦾

In all seriousness though; as fun as these beefy 50-ton forging presses have been to experiment with; we have no immediate plans to put them into production. However we’re excited to be working on many other new products that we can’t wait to launch in the near future!

We’re excited to announce a big improvement to our 12 ton press power-packs that will soon be included with every new 12 ton order!

We’re always working to improve our products to make them the very best they can be. And we’re excited about both the design and function of this change.

If you have any questions email us at Info@coaliron.com

*and note that the power pack shown in this video was half-painted prototype, so ones included with your orders will be fully painted 👍*
