We had the really special opportunity last Saturday to host our first event at Real Good Kitchen in partnership with @nourishknoxville. We were able to support the work of an amazing organization dedicated to local food and to be in company with some incredible local chefs--we're looking at you @chefmartyg , @cooktobewell, @laurencefaber, @lesserbabka. Plus Good Sport Boxes from @centralcollective & filled with tons of local goods.

We also welcomed folks in for quick tours of the kitchen (and tastes from @ama.mi.kitchen). Thanks to @abbykousouris from @wvlt for coming out too.

It took some work to pull this off safely and to keep everyone dry--We had no idea, for example, that we'd end up welcoming everyone through the very dusty, cluttered front entrance of our building, rather than the drier, cleaner back entrance (🤷🏻‍♀️)--but at the end of the day, we couldn't have been happier with how things went, or prouder of the kitchen.

It is incredibly exciting, after so many years being little more than an idea in Bailey's head, that RGK is finally a space in the world, taking on a life of its own. We love the potential and the power of this space and this community we're building together.

Nourish Knoxville talks a lot about building a bigger table. We are 100% committed to building a bigger table--and even more, a bigger kitchen, where new stories get told and everyone who wants it has the opportunity to start and grow a food business.

Thanks to Nourish Knoxville for inviting us to be part of this event, and to all who came out to show their support. We're going to have lots more opportunities for you to visit the kitchen and support us and our partners and member businesses. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Have your heard the good news? Sunday in Old Sevier is back on this weekend 🥳 The market is local-centric and will host a few of our favorite #knoxvillemakers like @knoxgirlsoap @foragedfarmstn @bigbrightcircle @inquisitdesigns @soknosourdough AND MANY MORE! Head down to the #oldseviercommunity this Sunday between 2-6pm for locally made soaps, bread, jewelry, art, and botanical creations. Vendors will be setting up on the pavement in front of the old Uncle Lem’s location (1024 Sevier Ave) near @southlandingfitness 💪 This market will be geared towards supporting our local vendors with a focus on safety. Vendors are required to wear a mask while people are at their table, and shoppers are encouraged to wear their masks while approaching each vendor. A big thanks to @thecleanrepublic for providing hand sanitizer at each station. Happy safe shopping, Allies!

Told you the break would be a little one! Come by the Sunday in Old Sevier Market on Oct 25th 2-6p to get your sourdough fix and find out what other amazing makers are doing in our city. We have a good lineup so far, with others still joining!

This is an outdoor market and we will be practicing CDC recommended safety precautions regarding COVID-19. A big thanks to @clean_republic for helping us stay healthy with hand sanitizer on the vendor tables. Vendors are required to wear masks while shoppers are at their tables, and shoppers are encouraged to follow the same protocol.

We will be set up across the street from a @southcoastpizzaknoxville, in the pavement area in front of @southlandingfitness
Hope to see you there!

Whether you're new to cooking or an old pro, we think we can all agree that cooking looks a little different these days. With fewer trips to the grocery store, we may not have that fresh herb on hand or the seasonal ingredient for your favorite recipe.
The goal of our 4-part Cooking School Series is to show you what you can make with the staples in your pantry - meals and fun projects to inspire you, with plenty of guidance and even substitution suggestions from a great lineup of local chefs and bakers.
All proceeds will go to our local food businesses and service industry workers - $10 suggestion donation or pay what you can to paypal.me/realgoodkitchen (link in bio)

We'll be live streaming this series every Wednesday at 5:30pm EST right here on our Instagram page! .

We’re hosting a CARES Act webinar this Tuesday at 11am! Are you still trying to figure out how the CARES Act applies to you? You're definitely not the only one. We've partnered with Sarah Johnson, an attorney at Holified & Janich PLLC, and Tanner Harris, Senior Vice President at SmartBank, to give an overview of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, recently passed by Congress.
We will cover the provisions of the Act, who qualifies for assistance and in what capacity, and how to apply for loans.
We will leave quite a bit of time for questions following the presentations - if you have a question already, please DM us so we can be prepared.
Join our meeting via the linktree in our bio!
