I truly can’t put into words my gratitude for being able to take part in this years @motionballcb event. This was @sheldon_googoo and I’s first year joining a team and we truly had the BEST DAY! I have to extend such a sincere thank you to @chloekerr2 for inspiring me to get involved, to @kaatiemacdonald for asking us to join her team and to our beyond amazing team @cbu_nursing_society . We started the day as strangers and by the end we felt like one big group of friends. A major shoutout to our athletes for bringing the absolute MOST spirit and making sure we stayed locked in on crushing our goals. The lavender league holds a special place in my heart 💜

Massive congratulations to motionball and my old classmate @ethanmerlin4 for such an incredible job organizing and executing this day. Seeing $125,000 cheque supporting special Olympics turned around at the end of the day was moving beyond words. So many old friends and familiar faces all showing up for such a great cause warmed my heart. I can’t wait for next year!!

If you’re thinking about coming out, fundraising or joining a team for next year, trust me, take the leap! You will have so so much fun

Today is one of my favourite days of the year💙

I’m incredibly proud to participate in @motionballcb and deeply honoured to be the top fundraiser.

Inclusion isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we choose every day. We choose to celebrate each other’s differences, create opportunities for everyone to belong, and build communities where every person is welcomed.

To everyone who donated, supported, and cheered us on, thank you. Your generosity is helping create more opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to grow, compete, and shine. None of this would be possible without you.

A huge shoutout to Ethan Merlin, none of this would be possible without his leadership, and countless hours of hard work behind the scenes. The time, energy, and passion he pours into making this event a success year after year never go unnoticed.

Here’s to breaking down barriers, opening more doors, and continuing to build a world where everyone has a place to belong.
