Glen Highway 🗺️

⛽ We stopped in at the Hub in Glenallen to download all of our maps offline with @onxoffroad and mark waypoints for our camping options while we still had service, so finding our campsite as the sun was setting was stress free.

📸 Matanuska Glacier View Points are all along the middle portion of the highway

⛺ Pinochle Trail Campground that we found on @hipcamp with probably the most picturesque view that we had on the whole trip.

📍 Pinochle Trail Campground would also be a great option to set up as base camp if would want to watch the annual Car Launch during Fourth of July 😉

🛍️ At one of the pull outs we bought jerky from a man who had a little food truck set up in the pull out.

⛽ We got gas again at Fisher's Hilltop Tesoro in Sutton-Alpine

🏛️ Alpine Historical Park should be on your list to spend your time at too!

If you haven't tried out onX definitely check the link in my bio for a discount!

You got your good days, and then you got the days you try to help your buddy get out of the mud 😃 Events usually mean more work than riding for us, but hanging out with friends is what its all about!

We are loaded up and heading out to our next stop! It’s hard to explain how incredibly awesome @wailinwayneweekend has been! Words can’t explain the vibe and community we experienced the second we unloaded so I’m not going to even try. You’ll just have to come and experience it for yourself!
Huge shoutout to @onthepipeentertainment for pushing us for years to finally make this event (and the full VIP treatment!) We had the coveted yellow lanyard but felt like we were family. We appreciate @motul for putting on an awesome trials course and giving Knucklehead an awesome 1st place trophy!
Huge blessing from @moskomoto when we won the raffle for the bags we had been eyeballing all weekend! We will definitely put them puppies to a good use!!! Great to finally meet @motocampnerd and all the other vendors, riding family, fans, and new friends. We will be putting this stop on our yearly calendar! So so Much Love!!

📍The Dempster Highway... Or as far as we got 😅
Even though we got turned around because I caught a cold, and our weather window closed, it was still super cool to get to the Arctic Circle with my brother!

⛺ Check out @motocampnerd for all your camp gear needs!

Brb, living my dream ✨

Put in some work this Labor Day weekend + did a different type of “moto camping.”

Put another 4 hours on the Husky (8.3 and counting 🥹). This was my first time riding real trails - rocky/exposed/rooty single track, rock gardens aka “fruity pebbles,” water crossings, and plenty of baby heads.

Thankful for @malaryyy who is one of the most inspiring riders I know + Allen to be willing to take me out and teach me technique in real time and helping me get through terrain when I knew I was beyond my skillset. 😂🤘

Riding dirt bikes is something I’ve dreamed of doing for 30 years of my life and it is SO exciting to finally be doing the thing!

This bike was never meant to replace my Pan America but rather to help make me a better motorcyclist in all terrain. There are plenty of trails and things I want to ride that I have no desire to take a 600+ lb adventure bike on.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Proper suspension: the stock suspension is way too stiff for me and is pretty unpredictable. Looking to either respring or go full send and just have a suspension guru in the Colorado area help me lower/revalve/do everything to make this bike a bit more fun. It would be nice to be able to get a toe down here and there when I need to dab rather than reaching for ground and finding nothing below me. 😂 (Looking for recommendations on suspension pros for enduro stuff in Colorado.)

More parts: time to load a cart full of goodies via @tacomoto.co and @revzilla ! Hand guards, skid plate, protective stuff, tidy tail, etc.

CLINICS! Time to build good riding habits before I build bad ones. Winter is coming here in Colorado so I’m not sure how many opportunities will present themselves over the next six months, but I have my eyes peeled.

Also…the MotoTote I picked up from @motocampnerd has been the perfect hitch carrier for the Tacoma. Super stable and easy to load and unload my bike from. 10/10 recommend!

Filmed a YouTube video - it’ll be uploaded in the next month. I’m a little behind on edits and I am only home 5 days between now and October. It’s a little difficult to edit and ride a motorcycle simultaneously.

It may still feel like summer outside, but fall is coming to Floyd. 🍂

Cooler days, changing leaves, campfires, mountain views, and some of the best exploring of the year.

Whether you’re traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring Floyd’s back roads, hiking, visiting town, or just looking for a quiet weekend in the mountains—Crooked Mountain makes a great fall basecamp.

🏕️ Camping through October 31
🍁 Creekside, electric & primitive sites
📍 Minutes from downtown Floyd & the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Marker 159

Fall weekends will be here before we know it.

Riding the Stewart Cassiar Highway with waypoints and tracks I made in @onxoffroad
This is a route where it is very important to download your maps offline before you start!

Key Points:
▫️Fuel up at every opportunity, starting with the Kitwanga Junction or Watson Lake depending on your starting point.
▫️We got in the habit of taking breaks at every rest stop that had a pit toilet because they're a little spread out.
▫️The Milepost is like the go to manual for this route with mile markers for key points but we couldn't get ours to download offline, so if this sounds handy to you bring the physical copy.
▫️Lodging options are pretty limited, so we recommend having camping gear for this route.
▫️Service is also very very limited if you don't have satellite service or starlink, make sure you have a Garmin InReach or other satellite messenger for emergencies
▫️Very important pieces of gear; Bear Spray, Bug Spray, Rain Gear, an Umbrella was very handy, Bear Vault, Tools and Emergency Equipment, Tire Pump (someone had to borrowed mine because the pump was out at Dease Lake), battery banks.
▫️The road isn't in too rough condition for motorcycles but four wheel vehicles should be cautious of frost heaves and pot holes.

Moody skies, motorcycles and the open road. Does it get any better than this? Oh yeah and wheelies!
